A Bad Day At the Office? This Probably Won't Help!
We all have them I'm sure. Days when it is all bad and everything is dark and gloomy. The only 'light at the end of the tunnel' is the train coming to run you down.
Today has been one such day for me. Lots of stuff going on in my personal life, the bottom falling out of the housing market leaving me with an empty house that still requires upkeeping, problems with the kids, access problems with my online Masters degree... the list goes on.
So I turn to BetterNetworker, thinking the place will cheer me up. Maybe I can learn a new tip to help with my traffic, pick up a few copywriting ideas, or at least help someone else who is in a worse place than I am right now. Focusing on someone else's problems always makes you realise how puny your own are in comparison.
But..
I'm greeted with some crap articles which seem to be becoming the norm, rather than the exception.
Add to that some really crappy posts.
And you can imagine my 'bad day at the office' isn't getting any better!
So, after spitting my dummy out, I gave this some serious consideration. And I realised there isnt anything I can do about any of the things that have happened today. Any of them that is, except one.
My attitude.
I can spit and snarl all I want. It wont stop technical hitches outside of my control. No matter how hard it is to see my kids hurting, I can't take away their pain. Despite the fact I'm shelling out money on two properties, there are some people who dont have a roof over their heads so I'm actually lucky to be in such a bind.
Sometimes, we just need to remind ourselves that the world wasn't created to revolve around us.
S**T happens. Deal with it, and you may just find you come up smelling of roses!

Attitude is Gratitude
Absolutely Susan. You cried because you had no shoes, until you saw the Man who had No feet! That is what having a positive attitude is all about. It's just when things look really bad and you actually see that it could be worse and you smile. That's when you realize you've grown. Keep growing. We're bigger than any of the problems that we have.
