Making Your Goals Happen In The New Year

As 2010 is coming to a fast end, I’m sitting in my office wondering where did the time go? I look around and reflect on all my uncompleted goals. From my cluttered desk to my over stuffed cabinets. My unorganized office is just a reminder of things that need to be done. It’s the little goals that never get done. Let alone the big ones that I haven’t even brought up.

I decided for 2011 IT WILL be different. As God as my witness I WILL achieve my goals. At the end of 2011 I wont be sitting here with the same thoughts as with 2010.

First you have sit down and write out your goals. Goals cant say stuff like “lose weight”. Goals have to be written out very specific. You have to have a time fame for the goals. And you have to be realistic on your goals. Saying something like “I will walk 30mins a day to reach my goal of 170 by Dec. 31st. If goals are not totally set out by you, it’s not going to be completed. So instead of saying “Buy a new house.” You say, “I’m putting $100.00 a week away towards my new house. I will cut back on coffee and no going out to eat. By the end of this year I will have a down payment of $5200.00.”

Take the time and really think about what you want to accomplish. Write it down and do it! I wish you all the luck in the coming new year.
