Network marketing is one of the most power businesses in today's economy. Unfortunately, most network marketers are not living up to their full potential. If you are like many others, you’ve probably made a list of the people in your warm market, friends, family, co-workers and so on, and are getting little to NO response. These people are not always targeted prospects, but you talk their ear off anyway in hopes of a change in heart. I call this “diarrhea of the mouth”, because as soon as you are given the chance, words will spew from your mouth uncontrollably. Do you think this creates an attractive business opportunity? Me neither.

Next you decide to market your product/opportunity. Maybe you have some material created or you’ve decided to use your companies generic information. Now, who do you market to? How will you get this in the hands of the people that need to see it in order for you to generate leads? Do you see what I’m getting at here? Most people break down and quit before they even get started because they haven’t been given the proper tools to help them prosper.

Finally, if your doing everything your upline is telling you, you’ve probably bought leads at one point or another. In most cases these leads don’t even remember leaving there information and when you call them they have NO idea what you are talking about. Weeding through this mess is time-consuming, discouraging, and costly.

Why is it that traditional network marketing techniques don’t seem to work for everyone? It’s simple, not everyone has the skill sets of a traditional network marketer. 97% of people that take a stab at network marketing fail. You can attend all the meetings you want and you will see hordes of people struggling doing exactly as their uplines tell them. Though network marketing is often perceived as a get rich quick scheme, the real people earning a successful living at it know that it is like anything else. You must work hard to create results.
