Rick has a fabulous career in marketing but he always had a passion for different types of beer. So a couple of years ago he started a blog on different types of beer. It seems simple enough, I'm sure there are things that you enjoy that you could elaborate on and become an expert. But Rick took it to another level. He began writing articles for various beer and wine publications such as newspapers and magazines and through that he started receiving recognition.
Cases of beer and wine are sent to his home on a weekly basis for him to taste and critique. He receives invitations to visit vineyards around the world to taste and write about the newst blend all expenses paid. He is now the expert and in that arena a drinks guru. He is now a drinks journalist and is about to be a published author on the topic.
It is truly amazing where your passion can lead you. Rick started out with a simple interest and passion. As a natural marketer and writer he just thought it would be a great idea to have all the information that he had on beer in one place which is why he created his blog in the first place. He had no idea that it would attract as much attention as it does, well over 10,000 visits every 5 days.
What is your passion? Are you living your passion? If not you may need to step back and re-evaluate your situation. The attraction starts with you. If you aren't attracted to what it is you are doing, then how are you going to attract others to it?
