The story of the Ant

Do you remember the story about the ant and the grasshopper? If not I'll add the short story here for you:

It was a summer month and the grasshopper was happy and jumping around having a good time playing. He stumbled upon the ant who was carrying a piece of corn to the nest. The grasshopper said why don't you quit working and play, there is lots of food here.

But the ant knew winter was coming and that when it was cold, food would be scarce. So the ant continued his work. Sure enough winter came and the ant was prepared for it. He had a nice nest and plenty of food. The grasshopper at this time realized that he should not of been playing all summer but should of been working.

This story has been in my head a lot the past day or so. And it reminds me of how we can be in network marketing. It takes time for our business to grow. So we have to be patient and we have to be willing to put in the work. We may have to work all summer long and then see the reward in the winter time.

I believe with all my heart that if we put in the time and work that our success will come. So don't give up. Continue to do what you need to do to make it happen. Believe me it will be worth it! I believe in you.

It will And Everyone is Different

How long each of us takes is up to us. How many people are you willing or capable of talking to a day? That is one way to measure your success in MLM. Thanks Stefanie.

The ant and his Beach Money.

I like it Stefanie. It makes me think of this question: Is this particular activity going to move my business forward?
Don't get me wrong, it is necessary to have some play time in our life. It is good for relieving stress. However, we do have to balance play and work. The ant has a great philosophy. He can play in the winter! Let's just say he has his "Winter Money" instead of "Beach Money".

Great Analogy!

It also reminds me of a quote from a book I have on spiritual growth.

"When God wants to make an oak, He takes a hundred years, but when He wants to make a squash, He takes six months."

I wish I could grow faster. I want to hurry it up! But what do I REALLY want... to be a squash? or an oak? I'm learning to be patient. ;)

Sounds Like The Slight Edge !

We can never go wrong as long as we continue to work and execute the advice that we get from the people who have had the success that we are seeking.

Cute analogy!

This story is so cute, I'm just tickled about the "winter money" instead of the "beach money". We can learn alot from those little ants. They are persistent little insects that are programmed to do what they do. We have to program our mind & cultivate self-trust for true success to manifest in our life & business. Making a million friends won't hurt either! Thanks Stephanie, I enjoy reading your articles.

Poor Grasshopper

I have never heard it put quite this way but right on Stefanie. We always need to put the work in to reap the rewards. Not only work for us, work on ourselves and help our teams and business associates do the same. Great analogy on an age old issue!

Jean De La Fontaine

Stefanie, this is a great story. This was a J.D.Lafontaine, written in the 15/16 century. It is amazing to see how he could write stories about human beings and replace them with animals. The same goes for the hare and the turtle.
