But I Can't Sell
How many times have you heard your prospects tell you that they cannot or will not sell? More times than you care to remember I bet.
When you call leads, whether they are purchased leads or leads generated from your own marketing efforts, there will be ones that will say that they cannot or will not sell. There is nothing you can do about that.
But wait a second - are we not in sales ALL our life?
You've sold your friends on why they should like you, you've sold your partner or spouse on why they should love you, and, if you're working a job, you sold your boss on why they should hire you.
I look at my own experiences. I was for years in the restaurant/bar business. Sure the ambiance of the place has some pull. But let's face
it, a beer is a beer no matter how you look at it. The reason you frequent or return to an establishment is because you like the person who served you. The reason I had many customers is because I sold myself and it worked then and it works now. Sure they are buying a beer but really they were buying into me.
Upon entering into the realm of network marketing, I suddenly became intimidated! Now that was foolish! And then I realized that I am still doing the same thing just in a different place and life became easier.

Objection
I think the objection about not being a salesperson is very humorous. I totally agree with you, we are constantly selling. Most of the time, unless you are in Network Marketing, you don't get paid for it.

Thanks Stacie! One of the hurdles that we all cross in network marketing is realizing that we are in sales and feeling good about what we do. Unfortunately many prospects have an old image of the "sales person". That guy on the used car lot, the pushy insurance sales rep, etc. It is an image that is hard to break.
No one likes to be sold anything. There are a lot of people in this field that don't care and do not take the time to learn how to a leader. In the end, it is the person who takes the time to become a leader that is successful. And that takes time. But that is another topic altogether!
