Is Life About Change?
This post is taken directly from my one of my personal blogs - a new one actually. Thoughts to Action and I wanted to share it with you all here.
Is life about change? You bet it is.
From the moment you are born, you are submitted to changes. As an infant you have no choice. As an infant, everything changes and expands with a tremendous force and we really have zero capability of stopping it. We actually welcome it. Watch an infant when they realize that they have the all the means to move. This becomes their prime focus (apart of course from food!). An infant will not stop, will persist with such determination until they have mastered the skill. Then there is no stopping! Do they care if they stumble and fall? No way! They just try again.
As we continue to grow, the world is open and full of intrigue. We are not afraid to try something new. We seek new challenges. We change. We adapt. We find something that we enjoy and master it.
AHHH! And then BANG we are suddenly adults. We become stuck in our ways. We now fear change. We don’t like the unknown. Because we don’t like to fall down. We loathe failure. Failure represents that we are incapable.
But life still changes. Every day.
Every day there will be both negative and positive things that happen to us. As adults we now have a choice to accept one or the other. Which one do you want to accept into your life?
One book that I strongly recommend that you read is The Traveler’s Gift by Andy Andrews. Andy will guide you through the Seven Decisions you must make for change, personal growth and success.
Because life is about change. And for things to change - YOU must change.
