A Mother's Heartbreak

A number of years ago, Western medicine gave my then 23 year old daughter a life threatening disease. Radiation therapy gave her Leukemia. I was afraid because when I looked into my daughters eyes I knew she was dying. A friend gave me some products for her to try and my daughter felt better. Because my daughter could not afford these herbs I continued to buy them for her and over time, she got back quality of life. I began to take them myself, I noticed I felt better with less physical pain, and I didn't get sick very often. I had more energy. I came into my home based business through life changing coincidences.

I really didn’t want another business as I was determined to make my way as a successful psychic and medium. Like a lot of people, I didn’t focus on network marketing as a viable business; in fact I didn’t know what it was. I didn’t work much on this new business which had literally fallen into my hands. I actually thought that because the products were so great everyone would fall all over themselves to place their order. I knew nothing about having my own business, I didn’t like selling, and I hated to call anyone who might not say yes to what I had to offer. Every "NO" was a personal hurt because I didn’t realize it was not me they were saying no too. Despite myself, one day a few months after I began to buy these herbs I got a check for fifty dollars, later that check was a little over what it cost me every month in herbs for both my daughter and myself.

So began my journey into network marketing!

I gave samples to anyone who was interested because I loved the way I felt taking the Amazon Herbs I bought every month. My children would roll their eyes when mom got on yet another “take your herbs tangent”. My belief in the products was total because of the results I had seen and experienced. My passion and belief in these products allowed me to recommend them to my clients and because I had built trust they bought and loved the products as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t know how to duplicate what I was doing, and because I wasn’t personally calling or contacting my clients/customers my business was growing at a snails pace. Finally, I learned that I needed to have a duplicable system and I decided to train and assist my new business builders.

One day, my personal friend and client decided she wanted to “DO” the business! I was so excited as I helped her get started. In fact, one weekend my husband and I packed up our camping gear and herbs for an Equestrian endurance competition. The riders loved the herbs for their endurance rides and the horses ate the herbs from the tea we made. Rob and I had so much fun being a part of this event.

Shortly after this weekend event I was totally blown away as my friend soon passed me up! She began to make three times what I was making because she was actually working this as a business as she had been guided into doing. My business builder had a strong desire and a big “Why”, she wants to buy property for her Transition Habitat Conservancy and took the action to obtain it!

How did the fire get lit under my one and only Business Builder?
