Article Marketing And The Latest News: Not That Political? Do It Anyway...
Article marketing has been my favorite way to advertise but it's getting a little scary. I wrote an article the night of the election. It was not to market anything other than my ideas. In fact it wasn't even that. I just needed to think out loud.
I've been creating a web of marketing content for several months now and most of it is article marketing. So it just seemed natural for me to sit down and write something before going to sleep Nov. 4th... Well, the next day, in less than 12 hours, I had over 300 visits. Scary. I'm not even very political. Why would anyone read my thoughts on the election??
So I looked to see where those hits were coming from... they were from all the places where I do article marketing. Then it occured to me - people are following the bread crumbs of my marketing content and eventually finding my other stuff. Then I discovered that apparently, Yahoo does the same thing!
When I noticed over 300 visits in such record time, I thought maybe Google helped me out. Nope. Google didn't even notice but for some reason when I searched Yahoo for the same keyword phrase, "election day dawning," there I was, right next to Time Magazine!
Article Marketing Is Part Of Attraction Marketing: Use The News
My point is, even though it feels scary to me, I will begin a deliberate marketing strategy to use the news. Attraction marketing and article marketing go hand in hand. Throw in something new and different out there and not only will some of the people in your target market get to know you better, others who have never heard of you will find you.
Use the news. Put a bit more of yourself out there and see what happens!

Good Thinking
Terri, I liked your point about being deliberate about a marketing strategy. I think this is tremendously important, but I also think there has to be a process of discovery, which just can't be as deliberate before a marketer can realize which market they want to corner. Thanks Terri,
