Internet Marketing Overload (Humor)
Like a lot of people, I decided to start my MLM business and make a million or two over the weekend. I figured with my common sense, education, and my new health and nutrition product, that I could easily make tons of dollars. Prospects would flock to my web site and sign up because this was the greatest nutritional drink since Eve made orange juice in the Garden of Eden. (Maybe it was apple juice)
So, I signed up for an internet course in network marketing and downloaded my books and materials. The next step was finding where the computer filed the downloads. It was then I discovered my "Download" folder. (Imagine that) I started reading and one quarter through the first book, I quit reading and started building my network MLM. (Hey, I am a man. I don't do instructions.)
I opened my web site, looked up the definition of "HTML" and then wondered what it really meant. I added hyperlinks, back links, URL's, JPEG's, and a host of other grammatical figures. Soon my web site was up and running, my capture page was excitedly hiding in the back ground for all of the prospect's to sign up for my MLM opportunity. I anxiously checked my back office for prospects only to find their were none. Then when I finally got a prospect it was a porn site.
After several weeks of promoting my web site, pestering my friends, handing out flyers and business cards, I realized that I had become another causality of MLM. Like many others, I quit.
However, the MLM entrepreneurship had lodged itself in my blood. I could not let this first defeat be the final defeat. I found another new MLM company that promised to make me rich beyond my wildest dreams. After several months and recurring companies, launches, pre-launches, special one of a kind master mind, I continued to repeat the process about twice a year.
Now after some 5 1/2 years, I find myself finally coming around and wising up to the fact that MLM is a lot harder than it looks. Maybe I have just got a little smarter and found myself a little wiser after parting with my hard earned money. One thing for sure, MLM is a great way to meet new friends, expand relationships, and just have a good time in this computer driven era.
Well, that is my story. I need to go write some ads, publish a blog, and see who I can meet and show them my stuff. I just might even make a million or two this weekend. One thing is for sure. If I didn't stay in good health from my primary MLM by drinking their juice, there would not be any way I could have done this for over five years.
