What is the Rat Race and How to get out

It’s tough when people depend upon you. Your income must stretch to cover your mortgage, your household expenses, your children and their spiraling costs, and maybe even your parents in their senior years. To earn enough to cover your expenses and your debts you’re stuck in a rat race unless you win the state lottery – first prize.

Running a home-based business give you the opportunity to see and interact with your family more often, which in turn, gives you a better quality of life. You know the solution, but how do you get past the problem of moving from the rat race, which involves excessive transportation and life in the corporate world with all those corporate employees? Perhaps it should be called the hamster race as you run around and round in circles looking for a way out.

Residual income is your target

If your rat race life does not include plans and actions to build a residual income, you will find it difficult to stop running inside your hamster wheel. Your memory lasts longer than a goldfish, so you will learn the constantly revolving inside of your wheel and will see your friends looking at opportunities you didn’t think you could consider.

The more you achieve in the rat race, the higher the demands on your time will become. Corporate America likes winners, but always wants to stretch you further each year. Your targets rise each year as the recession bites further.

The best you can look forward to is for a small raise or promotion that might involve a change of title and nothing else. Most promotions mean you’re going to work longer hours, evenings and weekends. You cannot earn enough money to balance the time you’ve missed with your family. The memories you won’t gain will be lost forever unless you find a way out of the rat race.

Single parents have an even larger responsibility to spend time with their family, but these are the exact people who will have to spend longer periods at work as two salaries are required to keep a family in games machines and the latest fashions.

Do you dream?

Do you dream of earning more money while working less hours over less days of the week? If that is your target; you should consider looking at network marketing to provide you with a residual income to allow your dreams to come true.

You will need to dream of a leader who will become your mentor. Your teacher will show you how to build long-term residual income. They will show you how to replicate your dream for people will see you as a leader in a home based business.

Your teacher will show you how to set up short-term and long-term plans, so you can repeat their actions on a daily and weekly basis. The teacher will help you train these new people who will become part of your team. For a part of every piece of business they are conducting, your organization will earn some residual income, finding its way into your bank account.

You don’t have to rush to quit the rat race, but you might need to cut down a little so you can start your networking business from just a few part-time hours a week until you are ready to jump off the wheel and leap into your new lifestyle.

Every week you fail to make the change, is a week lost. It is at least a week later that you have entered your new network marketing opportunity. Don’t waste another week. Do something about it now.
