Adgridwork.com is a free blog advertising network that you should take advantage of, especially if your blog is relatively new. This site is great, and that is an understatement!
It is self explanatory as far as setting it up. 
There are other sites out there like this one, but I believe this one is much better network. It will really help to jump start traffic to your site. 
Once you get things set up and input the link into your blog, you will begin getting links to your blog onto other people's sites. How great is that, especially for the newbie?
