As a child, my father would walk my brother and I to the neighborhood corner store every Saturday morning. We would get thing like eggs, bread and milk for our breakfast, he would also allow us chose a sweet treat to have later on that day after done our chores. One morning as we were walking through a field on our way to the corner store, we came upon a small mound of asphalt which was dump there by a developer and as kids so often do I started to walk a cross it. When my dad turned to tell me to come down, my feet slip from under me and I failed flat on my back. I felt no pain as my dad was ask me was I ok, and when I attempted to get up I realized that I couldn't move. I became scared and helpless trying to figure out what was wrong. For the first time in my life the one man that I loved so much and look to for all the answers could not help me. But over time I was able to walk again and I fully recovered from my ill mis-step.
