Read More: A lot of people ask "what is it that I should look for in a network marketing company?". It's a question a lot of new comers ask because of many reasons, skeptical, tricked/scammed in other deals, curious, looking for the right company etc...
When I was approached with an opportunity when I was 18yrs old I was skeptical, scared and also curious. After being around in the industry here are some things I learned to look for when choosing an MLM Program that may be helpful for you.
When trying to evaluate which Network Marketing or MLM Program you should join, you need to look at several universal factors:
1) How Long Have they been in Business?
2)How Good are the Companies Products?
3) Are They Certified by the Better Business Bureau?
4) How Competent is your Upline/Coach to Properly Train You?
5) Is the Company You want to Join currently having any Legal Issues?
6) Do they allow On-Line Advertising?
7) Is the vechile going to get you to where you want to go in life?
8) Do they offer Yearly Conventions, Training Calls or Special Training Events?
9) Can you contact the Owners OR top producers in the program.
10) How much effort (work) will you put fourth in YOUR business?
There are hundreds of great, honest MLM and Network Marketing companies out there to promote that will be happy to pay you a residual income check for the rest of your life for work you put in today.
The only real problem when researching the appropriate Network Marketing or MLM for you in the end boils down to HOW YOU FEEL.
For example, some women can easily make thousands a month in Avon, but a young single male just starting in MLM and Network Marketing might prefer a Health & Wellness company.
Bottom line!!! When you join the Network Marketing or MLM company of YOUR CHOICE that you follow basic Due Diligence rules to make sure that the MLM or Network Marketing company you join is financially sound, offers great support, offers great products and will be there to train you when you're ready.

Objective. Helpful. Informative.
Takias you have written a well thought out and objective article.
I've read/seen articles/posts on this topic other places in the past and they are usually not very objective. They imply that the only company one should join is the one the author is promoting. This is NOT the case with your article.
With so many opportunities available today it can be difficult for someone who has never owned their own business before to cut through the clutter. Your questions give them a good place to start.

You hit on all of the important points and the one I really connected with is that it does come down to how you feel about a company. I've had experiences where I did not go with my gut feeling and it ended up not being a good experience as the company ended up shutting down. However, it did not ruin my trust in this industry, it just taught me a valuable lesson. The other point for me is that you have to enjoy what your doing and have some passion about the products or services you are providing. As mike has taught us, people buy on emotion. I believe that our industry is the best business model out there because everyone has the same opportunity for success and we get paid for the our results, not how many letters we have behind our name or how high we score on a test. You can never under estimate the heart of a champion!

I must say that it is time for People to look at there Business as a Business because if they do not they can have what happen to Eugene happen to them. Also about loving a product many are also fooled by that in MLM your Product is YOU not what your companies product is. If you are not Passionate about your self you won't even beable to give it away. I can guarentee anyone Success if they have a 5 pillar company. and Products are only one Pillar to success. So be careful when you fall in love with a product and that product only pays 1 cent on the dollar. Also if you can by your companies product on ebay for 10.00 and you just paid 40.00 for it maybe that may not be the right company either. So all I am saying is Invest time in Learning as much as you can. Because you will be paid what you are worth. If all you know is you got a Great Product that you LOVE So do most mlm'ers and they are FAiling. Must be more then Love of Product to be successful. As Tekias Stated so much more. Thanks Takias for the informative article! Another thing to look for when evaluating a company is the compensation plan, right? You want to know how many people it will take to earn the kind of residual income your looking for. Then you can do some comparisons.

5 Pillars are necessary
I believe that without the 5 pillars, you cannot be successful.
You can't just be in love with the product, remember if you buy $10,000 of product, but don't know how to move the product, you fail and just spent $10,000 on paper weights.
Find something you can be passionate about but also make sure the other 4 pillars are there.
