So You Hate The Process But Want The Result?
You don't have to like the process, you just have to love the result!
What result are you looking for?
Are you looking to be able to work flexibly around your family without
the stress and concern of a boss and outside influences?
Are you looking to be able to be involved in your children's school lives,
be there to read to the classes, join them on school excursions, help out in
the 'tuckshop' (or is it canteen these days?).
Are you looking to still have the income you are used to so you do not have
to stress because you 'chose' to be home and available for the kids?
Are you looking to give your entire family the 'welcoming' and 'homely' feeling
that you envisioned that you would be able to give them...without the late dinners
and rushed conversations in the mornings as everyone rushes out the door.
You know that life doesn't have to be so darn fast and full on, but
what is it going to take?
It's a little bit like my big achievement of recently losing 12+ kilo's.
We were heading overseas on a family holiday, we went to Bali!
Tropical and swimsuit destination! You know the deal.
But after having 3 children over the course of 5 years, I'd let myself go!
At the height of my last pregnancy, I was, very big,
uncomfortable and always
out of breath.
I mean, my then 4year old would always get the response,
"...mummy's too tired to play soccer with you now, but when the bubby comes,
I'll have the energy..."
How disappointing for my son right?
Thing was, I knew that to get back to some sort of active weight,
I was going to have to pound the pavement and cut out the evening deserts!
What kind of life is that, right? Boring!
What Was My End Result?
Well the end result was more important than the pain of excercise (the process)
at my most uncomfortable and much more appetising than a lemon tart and hot
chocolate at night!
My son's happiness and excitement at me running around and kicking the soccer
ball in the back yard is what I thought about daily in order to get to my 'result'
Both children's' excitement and laughter when I chase them at the 'Awesome Park'
or when I raced them into the waves at the beach...
Being able to comfortably and confidently wear a swim suit in Bali, not to mention
a pair of short summer shorts...
That result always trumped the 'process' of exercising and eating sensibly!
So NoONE really does like the process...thinking about content to create,
daily income producing activities, being out there and getting noticed is
tedious work, but work that has to be done...
if we want the end result...
What is your end result?
Is it BIG enough and CRYSTAL CLEAR enough for you to get through the
