Paul, You're So HOT!!!!
You know, there are times where I feel depressed, wondering "why was I even placed on this earth for?" I've been through losing my job, girlfriend, and seems like my whole life...within a blink of an eye.
Then I look in a mirror, smile, and say: "Paul, you're gorgeous!!!"
But Paul, that narcissistic! No it's not, and I'll show you why.
Is it because my mom and dad has great genes? No, they're just average parents, with average looks. I love them dearly, but it's not like they were raised with a Spartan mindset, where only the beautiful, muscular people are a part of the kingdom.
Is it because I don't have any weight to lose? Not on your life! I could stand to lose a few pounds and gain some muscle. Most everyone could, but even if I was 165 lbs, and ripped, that doesn't make me gorgeous.
Is it because of anything I've done on my own accord? No. Why? I'm going to tell you.
The reason I can say that is because I was made by God and with a purpose. I may or may not know what that purpose actually is, but I have a purpose nonetheless.
Look, everything I've ever done, that added value to my life, wasn't because of me. By nature I'm a shy, anti-social, cowardly, introvert. That's what I was programmed to be. To put it all together, I was programed to fail in life.
But then I look in the mirror, and I see something that's fearfully, and wonderfully made. Someone who was made to make this world better. Everyone has this kind of purpose, the only thing is you need to recognize that in yourself. And if you want to be a leader, you better recognize this. If you don't, how do you think you can effectively lead people?
As I sit here on this couch, I have to keep reminding myself of this fact.
I have a purpose!!!
You have a purpose!!!
The person you just signed up in your downline has a purpose!!!
That guy you see hopping up and down in a chicken suit, selling discount haircuts...yup, he has a purpose too!!!
Actually, today he was in a Cookie Monster suit.
Do yourself a favor: look in the mirror and say to God "thank you for making me perfect and giving me a purpose for this life." After that, tell yourself "and you know what, <insert your name here>, I love you. I'm going to kiss you/me now."
...ok, that may be going a little bit too far, but if you want to, that's your deal. I won't tell anyone. :-)

Wonderful post...
What you described is called "mirror work." You have tapped into the positive power of affirmation. If you would like to know more, please feel free to contact me. We can discuss a number of books that might help "fuel your passion."
Thanks again,
