Whooo Are you? Who Who Who Who?
I really want to know who are you?
The last few days as I was reading various posts on different forums I kept noticing the number of people who post and they don't use their name. So I'm thinking don't they get it? Don't they know that if you want to start to build relationships you need to let people know who you are?
I mean when you only use your user id you make it difficult to contact you. Nobody wants to phone you up and say Hi may I speak to "bestcandlemom2008".
So for you newbies out there. Here is a few tips about networking on social sites and how to begin branding yourself.
#1 When joining a group be sure to fill out your profile completely. Write a bit about yourself so people can get to know you.
#2 Put up a picture of yourself.
#3 Use your name as your user id if at all possible. Or something that is like a Nick Name so people will remember you.
#4 Write your name and phone number on your profile and posts so prospects know who you are and can contact you.
When you are open it helps to build trust with people. When you are not open then not only does it make it hard for people to get to know who you are but it almost seems as if you have something to hide.
So open up! Let us know who you are!

AMEN...
I see it all the time in every community I am involved in. The picture of a product as a profile picture. I am incredibly shocked that after hearing the importance of personal branding in every opportunity that people will still do this. I own a very cheap, I will say it again, VERY CHEAP digital camera. I snap a picture of myself and away I go. My profiles in some places leave a lot to be desired, but after time I return to update and make sure I am still relevant. You can find me anytime. Here, there, and almost everywhere. Thanks again!
