Ahhh... Perfection!

Where would I like to be a couple of years from now? It's not only fun to imagine... it's absolutely necessary, in order for it to become reality. In my imagination, this is a small picture of where I would like to be... hence, where I AM.

My Perfect Day

I am wearing my new pink bathing suit, the smallest size I've worn in thirty years. I feel energetic and light on my feet. My heart is bursting with the wonder of life and love.

I am on a secluded stretch of beach on an island in the South Pacific. Behind me stands our newly built, two-storey summer home. I can't see a single person or building from where I'm sitting... only my family and the beauty God created especially for our enjoyment.

The sky is clear and the sun bathes my bare limbs in warmth and light. The sand is soft and warm beneath me. Gulls soar overhead and the grass bows gently in the breeze blowing gently and refreshingly off the ocean.

Whitecaps curl and disappear as the waves roll in to shore. My grandbabies chortle with glee as the water rushes in around their chubby legs, only to escape their eager grasp as it rushes back to the ocean again. My daughter and son-in-law toss a small blue and white beach ball back and forth to each other and the little ones. My other two grown daughters are walking toward me some distance away, as they return from a leisurely stroll along the beach.

Behind me, my husband and three sons are firing up the barbecue for our steak and shrimp dinner on the beach. A crisp green salad awaits in the fridge. My eyes grow soft and I smile as I think of the sweet time shared with my beloved this morning... and the evening to come as he and I go for a walk along the beach in the sunset, and return for some quiet time together after everyone else has gone to bed.

And I sigh with perfect contentment, knowing this is only the beginning. We are here for the whole summer. With our laptops we can work any time and anywhere. We have NO reason to return to our Canadian home until the new school year begins in September.

A beautiful picture

I love it. You are truly gifted at painting a picture that makes me feel like I am there! Does your newly built home have a wrap around porch like mine?

This is the beginning....

You are absolutely right, Willena. Once we change our belief systems, and some of the negative ones have been there many years, it's the beginning of a new life.

As I read through your Perfect Day, it triggered ideas that I am adding to MY perfect day. Thanks!
