4 Hot Tips Why You Need A Gravatar

Have you visited a blog recently and wondered how people leave their photos against their comments?

Well this is called a Gravatar and below is a short video explaining how to put a gravatar against a blog post.

A Gravatar is an Avatar, or a computerised version of you.

Gravatar is a free service where you attach a photo against your email address, so that when you leave comments on blogs using that email address your photo will be displayed.

In my previous post on 'blog commenting', I explained why it was important to leave a comment to help you generate backlinks and traffic.

In the meantime here are some tips as to why you need to have a Gravatar

Having a photo beside your comment helps to 'brand you', and helps others to see you as a real person, not an automated response against a post.
If you comment on enough posts, then people will begin to recognise your photo and become interested in finding out more about what you do.
When creating your Gravatar, make sure you beef up your profile, this is where others will be looking to when they see you commenting all over the blogosphere!
Marketing value of having a Gravatar; when you are seen to be providing valuable comments, you will start to be seen as an expert and authority. People will start to notice you and recognise you by your photo.
