About Avon
Avon Products, Inc is one of the oldest multilevel marketing companies in the country. It was founded in 1886 by David H. McConnell as the California Perfume Company in New York City, where the company manufactured its first product, perfume. The name was changed to Avon Products, Inc in 1939. Avon sells a variety of products, cosmetics, skin and hair care, jewelry, clothing and perfume, through the well-known Avon Catalog distributed approximately every two weeks. The company’s target market is women, however, they also sell items for men and children.

Avon sells products in several categories including skin and hair care, jewelry, clothing and perfume. Avon’s flagship products are its color cosmetics known as Avon Color. The Avon Color line encompasses foundation, powder, lip, nail and eye products. Another of its well known products is its Skin So Soft brand body care products, in production since 1961. Anew is Avon’s line of anti-aging skin care products launched in 1992 and currently a market leader.
Anew Ultimate Age Repair Night Cream
A nighttime moisturizer used at bedtime to help repair age damaged skin, it contains Pro-Sit-in TX, a protein that boosts the skin’s production of sit-in protein. This, in turn, may result in firmer and more elastic skin. A 12-week study was conducted by dermatologists that found improvement in skin texture after using this product.
Anew Clinical Eye Lift
Avon claims this gel improves the condition of the eye area by lifting skin along the brow bone, upper and under eye areas. The product, containing two formulas, promise to instantly lift and tighten the skin, minimize shadows under the eyes and reduce dark circles and creepiness.
Skin So Soft Original Bath Oil
Skin so Soft has been in the Avon catalog since 1961. One of the main ingredients is mineral oil, used to help soften and moisturize skin.
Smooth Minerals Foundation
This makeup product is Avon’s answer to the movement towards mineral makeup. It is made of natural mineral pigments and includes vitamins like lecithin and beta carotene.
Ultra Color Rich Mega Impact Lipstick SPF 15
This lipstick promises to provide high impact color. The formula contains proprietary Chromapixel Technology to reflect light and enhance shine.
