Commission River was founded by Adam V. Edwards and Patrick K Oborn in Draper, Utah in 2005 as a result of a merger between Commission River, Inc (founded in 1992) and Cognigen Networks. The company states that it offers a range of telecommunications products, including internet access and telephone services to suit all people, from VoiP and calling cards to domain names and satellite television.
The company works in collaboration with ‘advertisers’ (well known companies such as AT&T or GoDaddy, for example) to offer their services through the website. The website itself has a variety of Sysnito XML plugins which make it easy to purchase any service through the site. On the other side, Commission River’s affiliates have a range of tools to entice buyers – commission is based on sales.
