In 1960, Guy Demarle designed a non-stick process to be used in the food industry, and moved on to develop professional cooking tools like the non-stick baguette mat -- the baking sheet he called Silpat®.
In 1994, the company’s current chairman, Patrice Jacquelin, bought Demarle at Home, launching a new concept of gourmet cooking at home.
Launched in 2003 in the United States, Demarle at Home has its headquarters in the north of France. The company claims 32 million Euros in sales in 2002, and reports their products being used in more than a hundred countries. It is a member of the Direct Selling Association and the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance.
