Discovery Toys was founded in 1978 by Lane Nemeth, an early childhood educator, who grew and owned the company before selling it to Avon in 1997, who in turn sold it to Draupnir LLC in 2002. In 2008 the company was purchased by Draupnir, LLC. The company markets toys, games and books for children up to 8 years of age through hosted parties in the United States and Canada.
Discovery Toys Products
Discovery Toys sells educational toys, books, games, and music for children up to 8 years old in the U.S. and Canada. The products are organized in four categories according to age: infant/toddler/preschool and school years. Items in the product line are also labeled according to whether each product addresses any of six general areas of Autism learning. The toys are also classified by one of three learning styles (kinesthetic, auditory and visual). One of the company’s top selling products is a toy called Marbleworks. The product pieces are pipe-like pieces made of colorful, shaped plastic that interlock in various combinations to create a track for marbles.
