The company uses silver particles in its microfiber cleaning products, claiming that single-celled micro-organisms cannot survive or adapt when exposed to silver; only water is needed to clean, making chemicals unnecessary.

Norwex is also working in collaboration with the European Union to develop a cleaning cloth which not only eliminates bacteria from cleaning surfaces, but also in the cloth itself concurrently. The company says this could be achieved using unique technology which laces antibacterial agents into the microfiber of the cloth.
