About The Benefactory
The Benefactory publishes books, CDs and DVDs and plush toys for children. The majority of the company’s output is educational and designed to inspire children to learn to love reading and learning about the world around them and the beauty of nature. The company has a team of writers and illustrators who create all the materials.
People can join the company as affiliates, or ‘storytellers’ who buy a starter kit and then create storytelling parties for children, where the children listen to the stories while the parents socialize. The company notes that although storytellers are their own businesses, it is expected that sponsors will train and support new storytellers in order to help their businesses grow.

Noah’s Ark Puzzle
The Noah’s Ark Puzzle is 4 feet long with 100 pieces. It is inspired by the bible story and depicts a variety of animals, including tigers, lions, zebras, parrots and elephants.
Jonah’s Journey to the Deep
This book, written by Mother Melania and illustrated by Bonnie Gillis, tells the story of how a man called Jonah attempted to flee the word of God on a boat; God then sent a great storm in which Jonah was thrown overboard, whereby he was saved in the belly of a giant fish.
Chessie The Travelin’ Man (CD)
This CD is narrated by Grammy Award winner Tom Chapin, with the dialogue written by staff writer Randy Houk. The story centers around an endangered manatee who swims to Rhode Island from the warmer waters of Florida. However, en route to Rhode Island, a group of well-meaning environmentalists “rescue” Chessie in Chesepeake Bay.
