About Longaberger
The Longaberger Company manufactures and sells handcrafted maple wood baskets, pottery, wrought iron and tabletop items. Longaberger products are sold by 45,000 independent consultants in the United States.
The company was founded by Dave Longaberger as JW’s Handwoven Baskets in 1973. The direct–selling basket business began in 1978 and the company opened a pottery plant in 1990. The family’s interest in basket making began when Dave’s father, J.W. Longaberger, started as an apprentice in the late 1800s or early 1900s with The Dresden Basket Factory. After the Depression caused his employer to close, J.W. along with his wife, the former Bonnie Jean Gist, continued to make baskets from home and eventually saved enough to buy the defunct basket factory and start their own business.

The Longaberger Company manufactures and sells handcrafted maple wood baskets, pottery, wrought iron and tabletop items. The product lines in clude tabletop items, accessories and NFL and collegiate football themed items.
Baskets
The basket line includes Longaberger to Go, Sort & Store and Traditional product lines.
Pottery
The pottery line includes two collections: American Home Pottery and Woven Traditions.
Specialty Baskets
The company sells a line of collegiate and NFL football-themed baskets.
Tabletop Collection
Longaberger’s tabletop collection includes napkins, candles, placemats, table runners and silverware.
Wrought Iron
Wrought Iron pieces are designed to hold Longaberger pottery or baskets.
