Sorry, I just had to chime in here. Ameriplan® is NOT insurance it is a "Discount Plan"

It does not pay the doctor later and is covered as an expense like an insurance company.

Instead the arrangements and discounts are prearranged so the out of pocket expense of the "Uninsured" are less than one would normally be paying.
