Realistically 3,500 people would be $10,500 approximately but that is only if you are looking at giving the free app out which is definitely a blessing because it is of such major value in this economy. Now if you are talking about 3,500 team members then you would be looking at $10,500 + $17,500 so $28,000 in monthly residual and up front money well over $85,000 when you are talking about $50 cycles alone not including $100 up front bonuses for every 2 people you get involved. Just yesterday I clicked on a google adwords ad in my gmail account and was looking at someone's MY SG site.

It all sounded great, but I thought there are already a gazillon shopping malls out there on the net now like, zamzuu, TBA2, my world plus, etc.. So what makes this any different? I kinda got lost in the comp plan explanation on the site. I will take acloser look via your review and info above.

I use generic magnetic advertisement on my auto's as I drive around my city, trying to show people they can make money with their computer. This, my SG, may foot the bill, it is simple and people shop anyway's.

I put it to people like this Jonathan if people can't have the success they are looking for in this business with the Genie they should consider just sticking with a job and not working a home business. Chuck has been in My Net Universe for a long time and hit diamond in 2 years which is great but with how this is growing now things are moving a lot faster. I have been a member of MSG for about 3 months and have never earned so much, so quickly with any other network marketing business. My average is only about $2 per, but it is still well worth it. A few weeks ago, I was asked by a friend to go to the Red Cow Inn to see a business opportunity that would make me a fortune and set me up for life. At the meeting I heard of this software company, whose St Louis, Missouri, headquarters was located between Google and eBay and which was run by respected businessmen and backed up by millions of dollars.

The software was unique; it was a million-dollar brand and was fully patented. However, after looking into the product and the company and consulting independent technical experts, an actuary, former distributors, international trademark and patent lawyers and even the Better Business Bureau and FTC in America, I came to a very different conclusion.

What I found was an international get-rich-quick scheme, co-founded by two Americans, one a convicted fraudster who was previously involved in one of the biggest global pyramid schemes of all time, and whose latest scheme, according to an expert in Irish Law, "had many of the hallmarks of a pyramid promotional scheme".

The product was called My Shopping Genie and purported to be an application which, when downloaded on to your computer, sits on top of Google and kicks in when you are searching for a product.

At the first meeting I went to, I met Hugh Paul Ward, the main distributor in Ireland. He gave a very slick presentation and told the room of hopeful investors that he had been over to My Shopping Genie offices and had been really impressed.

According to him, the average American saves $200 per month using the Genie.

So here was the magic bit. You're impressed that everyone would want a Genie. You could now give this away for free to family and friends and every time they made a search using the Genie, you get paid a 'pay-per-click' income.

"As you click, you get paid. You don't have to buy anything off these websites. When you click on those links within the comparison section you are making money. You click you get paid, you click you get paid. You don't have to buy anything," he said.

According to Mr Ward, you can earn an average of $3 a month in 'pay-per-click' income from each Genie you give away. That's $300 a month if you give away 100 of them to family or friends.

All you have to do is sign up as a distributor for $199 and pay a monthly subscription of $29. It doesn't sound much, but it adds up to an impressive $547 in the first year.

According to Mr Ward, there is money to be made by giving away the genie. However, if you build a team of people to give it away, you can make a fortune. The earnings were impressive. Get two people to join up and they give you $100, get four and they give you $200. They also give you $10 a month every time those four pay their monthly subscription.

Even if you went off on holidays for a year, if those four signed up another four, you would get the equivalent of a further $12.50 per person and $2.50 per person per month signed up below you. You could earn up to $20,000 a week this way! This was clearly where the big money was made. That's over a million dollars a year to an ordinary distributor.

I decided to research the software, the company and its promoters and was stunned by what I found. The company was co-founded by Bruce Bise and David Freed. Bise had been sentenced to seven years in jail in the US for felony forgery and fraudulent schemes artifice.

When he got out of jail he became involved in a series of multi-level marketing schemes such as Celebrity Galleries International, My Hand PC and Get Moving Today, which filed for Chapter 11 (bankruptcy protection) leaving thousands of investors stranded. David Freed was the international marketing manager of that company.

I asked FR Kelly, international patent and trademark lawyers, to look into My Shopping Genie and their holding company, My Net Universe.

To my great surprise they informed me that My Shopping Genie wasn't even trademarked. The company had started the process but hadn't followed it through. Furthermore, a company called Kelkoo had a similar product called "Shop Genie" registered much earlier already.

I approached RTE's Prime Time with what I had found and they agreed to work with me on it. With producer Bill Malone I went undercover to meetings, which were held in the Red Cow Hotel on Thursday evenings mainly.

We sent the software to be analysed by RingJohn, internet marketing and advertising consultants. John Ring himself found plenty of odd features. He also found that when he replicated the searches that Mr Ward had done, all prices came back in sterling. We couldn't find an Irish site in any of his searches. Some Genie!

Mr Ward declined an opportunity to go on Prime Time or to answer questions about his involvement in the scheme.

After last Thursday night's broadcast, Mr Freed, president and CEO of My Net Universe and Andrew Cauten, president of My Net International, said they believed that Prime Time had decided "to do its best to damage our reputation".

In a statement they said the broadcast was a matter of "short-term concern" but that the companies were determined to "conduct business in full compliance with local laws and standards" and if there was any investigation they would "fully co-operate" with it.

However, it was the emphasis on recruiting new people into the scheme that worried me most. Under new legislation brought in in 2007, a pyramid promotional scheme is one whose compensation is derived primarily from the introduction of others into the scheme as opposed to the supply or consumption of a product.

I asked barrister and UCD lecturer in commercial law Brian Hutchinson what he thought of it.

"On the face of it, I think there is enough there certainly for a prosecution to be initiated. And I think it's important to stress that -- that alone creates a worry at an Irish level for those who would be involved in this scheme.

"Particularly those who might be sucked into this, who let's recall, also face the danger of prosecution at the same level as those in the higher echelons, even those outside of the state," he said.

I am forwarding on my findings to John Shine of the National Consumer Agency, who featured on the Prime Time programme.

Is this a Scam or a nightmare for RTE

Well after watching news report from RTE online over here in the Uk ,I have to admit it did raise an eye brow or two.

Yes it is fair to say that the report did give the impression of a scam being built.
But there was some dodgy editing and I am sure the undercover reporter has been well paid for his work.
Surely the basic’s are apparent.

Thats the original Pyramid scam………
I am a proud and confident distributor and have sold 8 licences myself to people who looked at the business, didn’t go to any high profile meetings, but took the information and made an informed decision.
Yes I have had my commission from the sales of the licences.
Yes I have had my first commission cheque for my click income.
Both paid direct to my Bank account .

If people dont want to be a part of this then so be it, move on.
But let those who “SEE IT” get on with the business, I attended the UK Launch in Coventry.
These corporate guys from My Net universe were all there, as were many serious business people who are no fools.

The repurcussion from this RTE news report could be very serious as this company knew this would come and are legally prepared.
Hell they are taking on probably the biggest change in MLM and retail trends ever seen.
If I am wrong I will be the first to stand up and say so ,but to be hung out and drawn and quartered like this is unreal.

If this was such an obvious scam and pyramid then there is a person called the Queen she has these guys who used to stand on our shores of the Uk and demand money from anyone bringing Brandy in from France or tobacco from America or Whiskey from Ireland, before you could bring it in.
She still has these guys and they still have these powers and guns, they are called the Customs and Excise /The Department of Trade/Trading Standards etc etc. and they move quickly on these suspect companies.
So if this does not get shut down very quickly then I think it is fair to say .
Let it be ,the company is compliant with legislation for each country they move into.

For gods sake look at how much information and hype has been put on the internet by the Networkers in 48 hours , because of one “News Report” by RTE.

I figure the reporter probably tried a network marketing business and failed severely so he waits around for the chance to badger a great company. How To Test if Shopping Genie is Legitimate?

The State Attorney Generals in the United States apply two tests to determine if an "opportunity" is legitimate.

1. Would the consumer continue to buy the product or service at the suggested retail price if there was no income opportunity?

2. Are commissions paid from the fair-market sales of goods and services, rather than distributor fees.

The regulators will eventually shut down any company that cannot pass these two test questions. The fact that a company has not been shut down yet is not proof that it is legitimate. It just means the regulators haven't caught up with them yet.

Selling a "license" does not constitute a product. That is a fascade for a pyramid scheme. Many companies have tried it and have been shut down including Sky Biz that sold websites and YTB (California law suit) that sold travel agent portals.

In examining the Shopping Genie presentation and listening to the testimonials from successful distributors, it is very obvious that they are making almost all their money from distributor fees, not from affiliate fees from the purchase of products from the affiliate websites like Amazon, Walmart or eBay.

Shopping Genie will be shut down eventually as an illegal pyramid and many people will make a lot of money in the process, but many more people will be hurt and lose their money. That's how illegal pyramids work. If you're involved you probably won't go to jail like the owner has before. You'll just have to start looking for your next income opportunity.

The real question is "Will your integrity allow you to hurt a whole lot of people just to make a quick buck?".

Somethings Wrong With Our World If They Consider...

...Shutting down My Shopping Genie because they would consider referring to it as a pyramid scheme. BOB you along with whoever thinks this is SICK. Lets just be real number 1 question I would have to ask you is have you used the Genie App yet? Are you a distributor, and have you received a check for giving away the free app from the consumers use? Something is really wrong with a lot of people's thinking when it comes to considering this a scam. Do we make money for enrolling reps into the business? NO we make it from selling someone a license, YES, but the simplicity behind this and how it can really make an impact for people and their finances if they just get the word out is huge.

I mean saving people money giving them something for free like you would a nutrition sample the people like it and they get it for free continuously and then just like nutrition the opportunity to become a rep that has the ability to distribute the license for just $199 that's peanuts and then give them the ability to give away the app and spread the news about the opportunity for others to benefit. WOW and there someone goes again casting the stone about someones record because a distributor leader had a past conviction and went to jail. We are helping people save time and money and giving them the ability to make money doing the same thing helping others. Again I say somethings wrong with our country if they consider this as a pyramid scheme.

P.S. This isn't YTB I've been in travel and you can't just go slinging the word travel agent around and that's where they messed up and suffered a huge lawsuit. As far as selling websites to people like Sky Biz you sound really like a clown now because there are plenty of shopping mall businesses that all you get is a website. This is not the stone age this is the technology age a website is pretty normal. What would you prefer we give away a cd, we don't have to and that takes to long.
