Business Venture Review – Telecom plus / Utility Warehouse - Our Personal Experience
Company: Telecom Plus PLRWe’ve always believed in fate – being in the right place at the right time, meeting the right people and making the right decisions. It was fate and decisiveness that started our roller-coaster journey with our Telecom plus / Utility Warehouse business.
I blame my wife, Kim – and Kim blames an Estate Agent on the local high street...
Just before Christmas 2007, Kim set off on a mission to promote her Home Decluttering business to local Estate Agents – the reasoning being that Estate Agents were in a position to refer property buyers and sellers to her, allowing them to streamline their worldly possessions and remove clutter before ‘moving out’ and ‘moving in’ – after all, why take your clutter with you?.
One particular Estate Agent listened intently as Kim pitched him. Then he did something that we later learnt to be a ‘reverse-pitch’. Kim listened to him, thinking all the while “There is no way I’m getting involved in selling...” She left the shop with some marketing stuff in her handbag – a “What’s It All About?” business opportunity DVD and a booklet describing how one could make money by helping others to save money, or support fundraising schemes to raise money.
Back at home, Kim gave the DVD and booklet to me, knowing full well that I would be thorough with my investigation into the Telecom plus / Utility Warehouse business prospect and services/products offering. After all, she was sceptical. Being a ‘green personality’, my research was performed online (slowly, as we only had dial-up at the time!). What did I conclude? I wanted us to become Club Members, i.e. customers – so that we could use the services – especially energy (like many people, we were experiencing poor customer service and no value for money at the time). I was also serious about wanting to explore the business opportunity further. By the end of the following day, we’d attended our first ‘Career Opportunity Presentation’ with the Estate Agent (referred to as ‘Uncle Nev’ from here on).
The following Saturday, we both visited Uncle Nev at his business premises and signed up as both Club Members and Distributors! We were now officially part-time, husband and wife business partners.
Why did we join?
As far as the services were concerned, it was a no-brainer: energy, telephony (landline and mobile) and broadband services, all on one bill, from an award-winning, British PLC, recognised in a leading UK consumer magazine, etc, etc.
As for the part-time/full-time/anytime home-based business venture, we could see ourselves benefitting in two key ways:
* Better future prospects for the both of us.
Kim needed to remain self-employed, but her Decluttering business was too ‘seasonal’ and was not regarded as an essential service; the timing couldn’t have been better, to be involved with an established Network Marketing company that already had a system in place to follow, that provided virtually unlimited, ongoing training and an effective support network
* An option for me to transition from employed to self-employed sooner, rather than later.
I wanted to eventually be in a position where I had the option of transitioning from employed to self-employed status.
Oh, and did I mention the low joining fee of £199.75? – known also as a refundable deposit (very much lower that the cost of starting a franchise), and a marketplace of 98% of UK households and small businesses?
So, since the start of 2008 we’ve been working our Telecom plus business as consistently as possible. Our achievements to date have been:
* Promotion to Qualified Executive (6 personal customers)
* Flying Club (12 personal customers)
* 50- plus Club (50 personal customers)
* Promotion to Senior Executive (3 Qualified Executives, 50 group customers)
* Personal development, including Trainings, Seminars, etc
Our next achievements will be:
* 100- plus Club (100 personal customers)
* Utility Warehouse branded BMW Mini 100
* Promotion to Executive Director, Group Director, Marketing Director
* More personal development including Trainings, Seminars, etc
* Too numerous to mention, but includes achieving the many goals that we continue to set for ourselves.
So what can it mean for you, if you were to evaluate the Telecom plus / Utility Warehouse business opportunity for yourselves, join our success team and work your business venture? This is what it has meant for us, and will mean for us over time:
* To be in control of our own destiny – designing the life that we want
* To bring an end to our financial worries and pension concerns
* To brighten up our future prospects
* To give us options that would otherwise have been closed to us
* Ultimately, to be happy, healthy, wise and wealthy!
To conclude, I won’t say that it has been easy – if it was easy, everyone would be joining up and making good money! You need the discipline, desire and commitment to succeed, In the UK, you would be hard-pressed to find a business opportunity that rivals the potential of the Telecom plus / Utility Warehouse offering. Let us know if you do though, and in the meantime ask yourselves whether you have a plan B?
We are recruiting throughout the UK! If you would like further information, go to www.lifeofabundance.co.uk, watch the short DVD, download the free Information Pack and contact Kim or Vijay on 0800 458 4102 to find out how the money works.
