In order to be efficient in business, duplication can cost a great deal in 'labour' hours so 'how to' manuals are used to lower time for an owner.

A 'how to' list beside a piece of machinery or computer will enable most of us to complete tasks by following those instructions and can create an 'empowerment' for a new business owner.

How this information is delivered, be it written, verbal or by personal instruction will depend on the 'receiver'.

For some of use watching is by far the best form of learning and the introduction of video has helped many of us learn quickly and efficiently.

As an owner, the temptation of 'jumping in' just to get the job done will delay the transfer of learning (and empowerment) for that individual.

True management is just that 'manage', be close to encourage knowing that individual can achieve the task - once they have accomplished a single step, you will see a confidence very similar to that of a parent watching a childs first steps ...
