Steve Van Andel, Chief Executive Officer
Steve Van Andel succeeded his father and co-founder as chairman of the company in 1995. His prior positions within the company include Vice President of the North/South American operations and Vice President of Marketing. Under the direction of the younger Van Andel, Amway has emerged as a solid, diversified company. Van Andel served one year as the chairman of the United States Chamber of Commerce in 2002. He currently holds the position of past chairman and member of the board. He also works diligently to support free trade in his role as vice chairman of the U.S. Korea Business Council. Additionally, Van Andel is chairman of the U.S. Chamber Audit Committee. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI, and an M.B.A. in marketing from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Additionally, Van Andel serves on the boards of various foundations, including the Gerald R. Ford Foundation and the Metropolitan Hospital Foundation.
Al Koop, Chief Operating Officer
Al Koop joined Amway in 1965 as an area coordinator in sales His previous positions with the company are numerous, including Senior Vice President-Operations, Senior Vice President and Managing Director - Americas and Europe, Vice president - International Distribution and Facilities Planning, and Director - Regional Distribution Centers. Koop is responsible for increasing efficiency for the company by developing 3rd party services and under his direction, the company created the first product line specifically designed for the skin of Asian-American women. Koop earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Economics from Ferris State University
Doug DeVos, Co-Chief Executive Officer
Doug DeVos, who oversees daily company operations and shares Amway's Office of the Chief Executive with Steve Van Andel, is the son of company co-founder, Rich DeVos. He has held numerous leadership positions for Amway in the Americas, Asia and Europe. He is recognized for moving Amway forward as one of the world's most international companies, with more than 80% of its revenue generated outside the U.S. DeVos is on the Forbes 400 list of the wealthiest Americans. DeVos is involved in numerous international, national, and local business and civic organizations, including Business Leaders for Michigan, the Early Childhood Commission, Economic Club of Grand Rapids, the Gerald R. Ford Foundation, Keystone Community Church, the National Constitution Center and the World Federation Direct Selling Association. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Purdue's School of Management, where he is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council.
Russ Evans, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Russ Evans joined the company in 2008. Evans was previously a leader in operations and finance with The Boeing Company and General Electric. Evans’ areas of responsibility include all accounting functions, taxes, financial reporting, forecasting, financial planning, and insurance. Evans also works closely with strategic planning and business development. Evans is a graduate of Purdue University.
