Dr. Myron Wentz, Founder and Chairman
Wentz is a microbiologist and immunologist. Prior to starting Usana in 1992, he worked as an infectious diseases specialist for a pathology group in Peoria, IL. In 1974, he founded Gull Laboratories, where he developed a test for diagnosing Epstein-Barr virus, and created diagnostic assays that were FDA approved to market to hospitals and other medical facilities. In 2003, he was awarded the Utah Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and the Albert Einstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Life Sciences in 2007.
David Wentz, Chief Executive Officer
Joining Usana in 1992 as the company was forming, he has served in a variety of positions with the company, including Vice President of Strategic Development and Executive Vice President. He currently manages the executive team, works with the board of directors and manages corporate governance. He is a member of the Direct Selling Association. Wentz graduated from the University of California with a Bachelor’s Degree in bioengineering.
Fred Cooper, President & Chief Operating Officer
Cooper manages the day to day operations of Usana. Prior to joining Usana in 1998, he worked at Human Affairs International as the Director of Marketing. He is a member of the American Society for Quality Control and an advisor to the University of Utah’s Entrepreneurial Organization. He holds Bachelor Degrees in Finance and Psychology from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business.
Kevin Guest, Chief Marketing Officer
Guest is responsible for the global marketing of Usana and its products. He has over 18 years of experience in media production, and produced events and multimedia projects for Bank of America, Sun Microsystems, Sears and ChevronTexaco. He is a founding member of Usana Studios. He has Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University.
Roy Truett, Chief Information Officer
He manages the company’s IT department, telecommunications, enterprise resource planning, web and e-commerce, data warehousing reporting and product forecasting. Truett worked at Humana, Inc before joining Usana, where he was responsible for all IT systems in the company. He graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems Management.
Jeffrey Yates, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Yates handles Usana’s finances as well as oversees the human resources department. His experience includes serving as senior accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as well as Vice President and CFO for Franklin Covey Stores. He is a Brigham Young University graduate, having received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy.
Mark Wilson, Executive Director of Sales
Wilson is the company’s liaison for the Usana North American Independent Distributor Council. He also oversees the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and Philippines territories. He started with Usana in 1996 as the Director of Customer Relations. Since then, he has also worked as the Vice President of Customer Relations and Executive Vice President of Customer Relations. His experience includes working for Convergys, Melaleuca and Great Basin Marketing. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah.
Deborah Woo, Executive Vice President, Asia
Woo manages the Greater China and North Asia territories. She started with Usana in 1999 as the General Manager of Usana Hong Kong. From there her duties expanded to becoming the General Manager of Taiwan and Singapore markets, then Vice President of Greater China and East Asia. Prior to joining Usana, she worked as the Distributor Relations Manager for Amway Hong Kong and then as Director of Sales for Caring International.
James Bramble, Corporate Secretary
Bramble is responsible for the company’s compliance with government regulation and legislation as well as legal advisor to the company’s board members. His work history includes a position with Novus Services, Judicial Intern with the Utah Court of Appeals, and as an Immigration Law Clerk with Catholic Community Services. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the University Of Utah College Of Law. He is involved with the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Direct Selling Association.
Tim Wood, Executive Vice President, Research and Development
Wood is in charge of the company’s product research and development, quality assurance and control as well as international regulatory affairs. He started with Usana in 1996 as the Director of R&D and was promoted to Vice President of the department in 1998. Wood holds several degrees: a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of California, Master’s and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Yale and an M.B.A. from Westminster College.
