I'm new to this, and I will be taking all the valuable information that is being shared here, not to "re-purpose" it but to hopefully apply it and apply it well..

Re: How NOT to Use Better Networker...
I had not read this one when I added my thoughts (a couple of hours ago) to 2 other topics being discussed.
Do some of you just not get it? With the risk of being thought mean, may I suggest that those who added their links to their comments take a deep breath, exhale slowly, and then re-read. This time with your brain in gear.
It also helps to write down the mantra 'give without want, before you can get' on a strip of bright paper, fold it in half at the comma and tape it to your computer screen. 'Cos it will never work for you when the 'giving' bit is coloured by the 'getting' bit.
Cheers
Heather

Excellent post, of course...
Honestly, I hope everyone takes these concepts and applies them to EVERYTHING they are doing with all content-driven and social marketing. It is the basis of attraction marketing and magnetic sponsoring, and it all gels so perfectly with web 2.0 stuff that it's ridiculous.

I totally agree with the content of the original message. When you copy someone elses idea, it looks like you are trying to take the easy way. If you are going to use someone elses ideas, then give that person credit. This is no different than writing a research paper for school. In school, they call it plaigarism. Anyway, I just joined this site and I look forward to networking and sharing ideas.
