Think things have changed in craigslist. had a friend sign up for me and verified the account, I then logged in on a new IP address, went to post and it logged me out of the account and had me reset the password and after I did all this it wanted me to re-verify the account again, was out and now waiting to ask my friend again to try this again? Anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Some can get a lot of leads from Craigslist, but to me it is not worth the hassle. I would move on to other classifieds sites if you wanted to do classified marketing.

I used to love Craigslist, but it became very restrictive there. So I moved to Backpage and use BP sender and have gotten a lot more leads from Backpage than Craigslist. (I am working on a video series on using Backpage, Some of it is on my blog now ;) )

I wonder why Craigslist implemented all of their changes, certainly not to stop people from advertising :)

But here is the problem:

When you see the statistic, you see the site statistic, but what if I need specific
section to post my ads?

For example there are very active section today for watches, but I need action
in section for business sales. So the alexa stats I don't think that can show specific
sections that I am looking for to keep posting my ads or I am wrong?

I know that this is a old post, but still a good one.
Does anyone have anything new to offer for CL? I mean they have changed so much.
Also anyone have any suggestions for backpage & the backpage sender?

Great information about CraigsList. My question is this.

What categories to you post in when looking for affiliates to your business? I have gone under Jobs and sometimes it asks for payment. Any advice or direction with this?

Thank you all!!
Best to you

Hi Scott,

Some of the cities there is a fee to post, but if you look through them you'll find that there are a lot that are free.

These are some great tips. I didn't realize at first that this was started back in 2008. From what I've experienced lately Craigslist seems to be really picky now.

Has anyone been using Craigslist lately? Do you have any current tips to getting ads approved?

Thanks, Heidi

This is a great thread, I use CL sporadically as most of my posts, always seem to get flagged up, despite carefully observing the rules & when you have spent ages crafting compelling copy to MEET those criteria it can be deflating!!! :?

That said, I tend to put some ads in SMALL BIZ section as they seem to get passed, without TOO much hassle.
