When I get these automated marketing calls, it takes about 3 words for me to hang. From the gist of most the comments here, I'd say thats a high numbers game.

*

I got one today, from someone who's list I've been on for about 6 months.
I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS! Right in the middle of my busy day, I get a call on my cell, the message starts by say.... "Hey! This is X...pause" and I start talking to them, thinking holy crap I'm talking to X.
Then it starts.... "I just wanted to let you know, blah, blah, blah....." the message continues.
I've been on your email list all this time and NOW you use this cheeseball approach!?
Plus I know that the only way they have my number is from my member data, NOT my optin info.
So to top it off they scraped my cell# to call me.
I was so mad and frustrated. How damn annoying is that!

So I just have to ask.... What is your idea of "success" with this method?
For those that say they had "huge success" with this method, would you please offer real numbers for everyone to assess. It's easy to say something like that, but will you back it up with proof?
Sorry to be the jerk here, but I'd like to know who you're talking to that actually likes these messages and responds to them. Because the general consensus is this method is lousy.

Yes, I've tried voice broadcasting system before, did not like it. It was not effective and it was costly. Maybe for some people it works, but not for me.

You are talking my language here. I am the station manager of motivational radio. We are doing this already with a lot of success. We do not use phone lines or anything like that, we stream our content over the internet live.

It is quite involved to set up but seems to be a winner once it is set up. We have gone from a few listeners for a start to thousands today in about 4 months.

I can't stand to receive a recorded call and hang up the first moment I hear a recorded voice. Nothing is more irritating that to be interrupted by a randomly placed, "Do you want to earn ......"!
Have a GREAT day,

aaaahahaha that's hilarious...

Of course there are a lot of different ways of voice broadcasting.. of course I took it to mean.. podcasting, or radio advertising.. but doing the automated phone calls.. omg that's dinasaur status.. you would probably have better luck renting a list.. and doing direct mail.. at least the 80/20 rule still works with that.. as long as you have up to date qualified leads...

Anyways.. good luck..

Isn't it illegal now in the U.S. anyway? There was a law passed that says you can get major fines for doing this.
