Hey David, it looks like you are new here as well. There are many free traffic sources like the ones you are using right now. I followed your signature to the youtube vid, and my suggestion for you is to actually make your own videos and brand yourself so that when you do get more traffic, people will trust you more. Good luck mate :D

Hi!!

One way to get traffic is to write articles or your own blog in websites like betternetworker that are already well positioned, while you build and position your own website, which takes longer.

Here are some ideas for traffic generation:

Article marketing - Write good quality content and post it on your own site. Re-write the content and post it on article directories (this is article syndication). You'll need a basic knowledge of SEO for this strategy.

Forum marketing - Post in forum threads like this one. You're already doing that so I won't go any further down that road

Blog posting - Posting comments on blogs to get your backlinks in there. No spamming though, make sure you add value or your comments will be deleted. But you probably know that already.

Social marketing - Put articles and posts on the most popular social sites. You can manage many sites with free online services such as ping.fm, Posterous or Onlywire

Video marketing - Seems like you've already set off down that road too.

That's just a few off the top of my head. Other people will probably come up with more.

But don't try to do everything. It's better to do one or two things consistently than five or six things erratically. Choose what suits you best then keep doing it till you see the results.

Go to PPC path as well. If you have money go to Googld Adwords.
Less money - 7search.

Its all about creating links, everyone has their way to do it. I share my new blog post to all of my social media profiles, that works well for me!

You can use socialmonkee to create free baclinks to your blog. I did a blog post about it. Use it to your advantage. Click on my signature below to go to my blog and look at the article. I'm not sure if I can post a link inside here.

Great advice Zack! Do you do videos? What do you use to shoot them with? What is your youtube channel if you have one? Would love to subscribe. Thanks!

This also works well for me. I use pingfm to post to all my social media at once. I usually get 5-10 leads a day just from this method. Any content I put on my blog like articles or videos i will use pingfm to blast the info. I will also use pingomatic and put my blog url in to let search engines know there is new information on my blog. Works great for me. :)

I will have to agree with pretty much every piece of advice offered here. I am working on doing the same things, just haven't made it to you tube yet, but I'm on my way. I think the best advice was coming up with your own videos and your own ads so that you are more authentic to the leads who find you. Once an interested lead finds you, find out what his or her needs are and see if you can help them. If not, point them to who can. In the offline world, that is good business. I think it is online as well. There is a fair amount of trial and error in generating traffic. You have to find a way to be unique, which is not supposed to be too hard because there is only one you.

Listen to the advice of those who have been successful by all means. You will duplicate their methods to a large degree of course, but you have to apply your personality and who you are to those methods. I have always heard "plan your work and work your plan"- author unknown. You find a plan with trial and error. Once you find it and it works, I would say stay with it as long as it does work.

I haven't reached my goals yet either as far as traffic, but I will agree with the advice here. I am working at a couple of things while I see what will finally work.

Thanks for reading. Maybe this helps somebody down the line.
