I would probably go with pay-per-click if I had the budget for it. Why not get in front of your target market right away? Even with the recent changes google has made, as long as you have unique and relevant content your going to be fine. I heard article marketing robot has some pretty good features.

Trying not to get overwhelmed amid all the replies but instead of spending money on some program, (I personally used Traffic Geyser but that only had about 14 article directories). I would check www.alexa.com (traffic ranking site, type in the site and will show you how popular it is) and find 4-5 good article sites and just post there. That way it's simple and you can personally know that it worked. I don't really trust software to post because technology is always changing and sometimes it may or may not work. I just don't trust if my article is really live on a site I sent it to or not by using software, if I personally see it because I personally placed it, then that gives me the warm and fuzzy feeling inside that I have a legit post and back link. But software is a good way to blast backlinks out there.

Things have changed drastically since then so some of these programs and thoughts are useless at this point.

(I always wonder why people comment on stuff from that long ago.....)


Ezine's rankings were lowered by Google in their last update and article submission software to 100s of article "farms" was exactly what Google was trying to take out in their update (If I understand it correctly).

The real question is, are you wasting time by auto-submitting in this day and age?

Volker, any thoughts on this one since you originally posted a while back?

sorry for the late answer!

I didn´t choose any article submitter - I got so many advices that I should just submit manual to the three best article sites and focus more on blogging.

This was my strategy and it is working well but I have no opportunity to compare if it would have been better to use a article submitter.

I use Ezine article directory as it was the first one i tried after it being recommended. Apparently its better for ranking. Its been ok for me but i've had some articles turned down.

I've always been told it takes time to time to become an accomplished article writer and i'd say it true. Some people aren't suited to it and for others it's not a problem.
