Hello Jessica. I would say my most effective marketing technique right now is Facebook. I like to post links to stuff on the "What's on your mind" section... but also put out cool inspirational/motivational quotes.
Also, Facebook has a ton of good groups you can join, where you can put links, videos and articles. The groups are a great way to connect with people.
And let's not forget the telephone. Don't be afraid to use it! It's BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to be a successful online Network Marketer without contacting/following up with people on the phone. Good phone skills are easy to learn. This is my most effective offline technique!
To Your Success,

Re: Which is the most effective marketing technique you've used
Hi, and thank you very much for these comments...it's like finding gold. Almost feel like I'm on a high diving board ready to make the big dive, when really it's more about wading in more gradually. You make it sound so practical and natural. Will implement a couple of these points right away, though they are all good.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Re: Which is the most effective marketing technique you've used
I have to agree... offline marketing is still a key component to any successful business.
What I found to be most successful for me is 2 things:
There are 2 things that help me with signing people up into my business...
#1 - I ALWAYS request a phone number on my cap page, blog, etc. And I pick up the 700 lbs guerrilla (The telephone) and call them to make a connection. By doing this, you are not COLD CALLING, you are calling and speaking to leads that have requested more information from you... so if they enter their phone number, they want to be called...so call them. But, be sure to provide value when speaking to them. And call them back a few days later to say hello. After about 3 calls, ask them if you can have their postal address and send them a card saying "nice to meet you" or "great chatting with you". This shows that you care and that you are serious about your business. I use a service called
Send Out Cards to do this.
#2 Host your own calls. Give the call a Topic or Theme and provide massive value to your target market. Once they hear you and all the value you are sharing, they will see you as a leader and will want to join you in business. Works like a charm!
Hope this helps.

Well one of the things that has been working for me is posting on the better networker. Probably because most people in this community are network marketers which is perfect for our target market.
The next thing that has been working very well is blogging and article marketing. I have been doing a little bit of video marketing but I really need to supercharge everything here. But blessed to have perfected ways to leverage everything.
Small actions but huge results.
Got myself a 19 day challenge to get my pages on the top page of google for certain keywords so been focusing on a lot of SEO right now.

The most effective marketing technique I've ever used is to pick up the phone and use it. Then when I talk to people I ask questions and shut up. The best advice I've ever heard is to be comfortable in those awkward silences, people will open up and tell you what the real answer is if you wait for it.

I agree with the previous post about video marketing. I believe that video marketing is the best way to generate leads online because people actually can see you in action and guage who you are more effectively because they can watch and listen to you at the same time plus see how good of a communicator you are. Ever since I started putting out videos, I have been getting a huge amount of traffic to my sites with opt-ins and tons of subs and friend requests. l
My favorite offline method is voice broadcasting. Nothing compares to offline to using voice broadcasting as far as speed of delivery of leads and price! It works great!

I agree with steve on the voice broadcasting for the offline marketing. For online marketing I'm running google adwords and doing the content network specifically. It's working well, and it's a HELL of a lot cheaper than the adwords side of their advertising. I'm about split on my marketing budget right now. For the voice broadcasting i'm using message communications (www.messagecommunications.com) with my own lists, then rest goes to google.

Re: Which is the most effective marketing technique you've used
Hi Jessica,
This is a marketing and promotions business and to promote means "To make known" hence you should be promoting in many different ways. I suggest to pick at least 3 ways of the methods below and focus on them.
The interesting thing with promoting is that you may put a lot of effort into one method but results come in another method for that month i.e. a couple of referrals come your way. Whats interesting is if you keep your marketing funnel full you will always have prospects to talk to and people will drop in as either customers or business partners if you position yourself as someone to help them towards their goals, needs and wants. Review the below methods and pick at least 3 and focus on them, all of them work as long as your CONSISTENT!
There are THREE main categories where you can find leads for your business/products. They are often referred to as "Markets". Each of the main markets has it's own niches as well. Those markets are:
NETWORKING: Good old fashion person-to-person marketing. This is NOT about hassling and pressuring people. It's about intelligent, professional and courteous word of mouth marketing - and when done right the results can be amazing! One of the beautiful things about this method is it is absolutely infinite, and it's normally free to produce leads There are four main niches:
* WARM MARKET: The people who already know you by name. This is a great place to start as most new associates can fairly easily generate 5 to 10+ customers in their first few weeks in from their Warm Market. I suggest using this market for Product users mainly.
* CASUAL CONTACTS: The people who don’t know you yet, but you can meet and/or get to know in the future. This can be a very good source of ongoing leads when done in a systematic and professional manner. Many of top Network Marketers came from this Market.
* REFERRALS: Are generated from other niches and other markets. There is a real science to generating referrals consistently, and if you take the time to learn and master this skill, you will NEVER run out of people to talk. Referrals are truly and endless source of leads. Also referrals are normally generated for little or no cots!
*Product Focused Seminars: In my business we have product focused educational seminars focusing ONLY on the product. Its a great way to generate a lot of customer volume in your business.
* COLD MARKET: These are people who express interest by responding to a “Reaching Out Method”, such as Advertisements, Flyers, Reports, etc. This method has produces excellent results for many leaders, and it works well. However you will have to be very professional and there is a lot to learn. We recommend that you allocate a weekly budget towards advertising, and advertise consistently over the long run.
* INTERNET: Leads generated/purchased and prospected via the internet. If done right this method can allow you to generate leads, and to build a relationship with them even when you're asleep or on vacation. The interment is highly leveraged, and you have access to basically the whole world from behind your home office. There is a lot to learn though. The main niches are:
* Free Methods - you'll invest your time:
- SEO: (articles, press releases, ezines, blogs, link exchanges, etc..),
- Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Forums)
* Methods which require money up front
- Purchased Leads,
- Pay-Per-Click (Google Adwords, Overture, and many other search sites).
- Advertising / Banners. Renting advertising space on high traffic websites
A jack-of-all-trades is a master of none.
In order for you to produce leads at a reasonable cost, you have to pick ONE-THREE methods from above, and stick with it until you MASTER it. And when we say "mastered" it means you can produce as many leads as you want, at the cost you want, AND be able to teach that skill to others.
When you have achieved this, not only will you have an endless supply of quality leads for your business, you will be of TREMENDOUS VALUE to those in your team that join you as you will be able to teach them the skills you have learned. And then more and more people will WANT to join your business because you will be able to teach them your valuable skill. And success will breed success.
So you will need to become a STUDENT of the niche market you choose to focus on. Get your hands on books, audio’s, even attend seminars, and study them daily. Master Mind with other people who have had success and who are focusing in the niche you have chosen. The more you develop your skills in your niche market the more success you’ll have.

The most effective tool is what you are already doing consistently, persistently every day. It took Art Williams 19 years to figure this thing out. As Art Williams would say "Just do it, Just do it, Just do it.
