Re:Another newbie wanting her capture page looked at!
Hi Jennifer.
I think the best place for you to start is by reading these two threads:
Thread #1 - scroll to the bottom to start
Thread #2 - scroll to the bottom to start
They are awesome training from Justin and Jim on lead capture pages.
The biggest thing I would say about your page is that there are just way too many options for the person that gets there to choose from...and so they may not choose the one you want them to.
The only reason you've got a page up is to capture their contact info to begin to build the relationship with them...
The threads above outline the main parts of a capture page and how to format it.
As an exmple, you can check out mine here.
It's pretty simple and only has one purpose - get people to opt-in to the autoresponder so I can keep in contact with them.
My page has some split testing that needs done, but overall I think you'll get the idea.
Print out and study Justin and Jim's breakdowns of an effective capture page, start with a clean slate, and try to create another one from the ground up using their tips and I think you'll be money!
Hope that helps.
Steve

Hey Steve,
Am I missing something? What options on the page are you talking about. The only thing I saw on the page was a link to download some move file.
If it's a capture page, where's the form to "capture" their contact info?

Jeff

The best performing capture pages I've tested are nothing more than a solid, compelling headline, a subheadline, a few main bullet points, and the opt-in form...
It seems that less is more. If someone isn't interested enough to provide their contact info to access the information you'd provide them on your thank you page, then they probably aren't likely to join your biz, so in essence you're just weeding out some prosects that you'd otherwise spend time on.
May as well show your biz to the people who are MOST interested and get them into your marketing funnel. The opt-in form is essential though. I'd put your movie on the thank you page, not on the capture page
Just my two cents..

OK for me it really didn't explain what I was opting into, when I clicked on a link it prompted me to either save it or open it. If that is a video, first you must convert your video, you can use a free host like youtube or google video and paste in the code.
If I wouldn't open the video, so will most of the prospects who come across your page.
Here is one of my squeeze pages, nothing fancy, but it has been doing a good job so far so I haven't changed it for several months now, my google score is ok with it but it could do better, so with this squeeze page where my highest bid was ppc bid went up to only $2.23 on some top keywords. It may sound technical, but since google adwords made changes, your squeeze wouldn't survive, your minimum could go as high as $5 per click, and that is only at minumum.
you'll need to write in some content and value to it.
Hope that helps!
Norman

Hi Jen! I think you have a great product. I would though, a basic name_ email address_ optional phone _ form on the capture page, that would allow them inside, as well as insert some type of "happy debt free homeowner" photo I would also recommend you follow the training threads. Nice Job Though !

Thanks for your advice. I have since changed my capture page so see if you think it looks better.
http://www.cancelinterestsite.com it then leads to http://www.moneymergerescue.com
I added a second page to my squeeze page and was hoping for some organic results since PPC is up to $2 ....ugh!
