Cyberwize makes it into the DSA

Postby Edward Turner II on Thu Oct 18, 2007 6:48 pm

The Direct Selling Association (DSA) announced this week that CyberWize has been admitted to the DSA as a full Member Company.

In describing this accomplishment, the DSA says CyberWize "completed the one-year pending period required for full membership in the association. During this time, the marketing and business plans of applicant...are reviewed to ensure compliance with all provisions of DSA''s Code of Ethics.

"The members of the Direct Selling Association pride themselves in their commitment to the highest standards in business ethics," said DSA''s President Neil Offen. "By applying for membership in the association and going through a rigorous approval process, these companies are saying they take their ethical obligations to their field sales force and to the ultimate customer seriously and are willing to make a public pledge to that effect."

CyberWize President and Co-Founder Mark McCool says of this honor, "CyberWize is prepared to take a place of leadership among the most professional companies in direct selling, and we are proud to be a DSA Member Company."

The DSA is the national trade association of the leading firms that manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers. In 2006, U.S. direct sales were more than $32 billion with more than 15.2 million direct sellers nationwide. "That''s a huge market," observes Mark McCool, "and an indication of the size of the opportunity we have with CyberWize and Tunguska Blast. While we''ve seen sales and sponsoring increase dramatically since our International Convention, it''s clear that the future of CyberWize will be increasingly prosperous for us all.

Each DSA member company pledges to abide by the Code of Ethics' standards and procedures as a condition of admission and continuing membership in DSA. This Code of Ethics speaks to both the consumer and the seller, and ensures that member companies will make no statements or promises that might mislead either consumers or prospective sales people. The DSA Code of Ethics expressly prohibits pyramid schemes, deceptive or unlawful consumer or recruiting practices, misrepresentation of earning or sales potential, inventory loading and unreasonable entrance fees.
