I am not into adding any more 'thumbs ups or likes to my daily routine - facebook has covered that, but ya know how you have the vote button for articles. It would be awesome if each time someone posts a comment on the forum - a reply- that Vote button appears under their profile picture or something. That way, if someone likes what that person replied with, instead of scrollign to the end of the last page just to post a new entry telling that person that, you could just click the vote button (like to +1 it). The link to the Vote button would coorespond to the person who clicked it, so if someone wanted to see who it was that voted their reply as a good or a +1 or whathave you, it would show based on the number they came in on. So if someone before me already voted up a reply thread because it was good, and then I read it and thought it was good, my vote up would be the 2nd one, the vote box would show a 2. The person who wrote the reply could then see who was the 2nd person that gave his comment a vote up (and then from there if they want to reach out and connect with any of us that did vote up, they can know who exactly it was. I think this would be helpful, vs tons of reply threads where people are saying " xxname, that was a great answer" It's quicker and easier for all of us, and then a good way to see who values what you reply with if it's a good answer. Do you understand what I am going for here? If not, I can somehow explain further.

I always thought it would be nice to add a comment with the like button.
Sometimes it is good to view a comment to an article so they could explain why they like the article or could add to it.
We should not miss the point of communicating with each other. Having a 'like' button is nice. Adding a comment to why adds value to the article and continues the discussion that is posted.
You can write an article or video and the 'vote' button is available in another section.
These are discussion articles with comments and participation involved.

I agree. A like button for posts is a great idea. I belong to an IM forum that has that option and I value it.
