Finished my Profile for my ABN Badge!
Hello all! I have been struggling with my profile since joining and not getting anywhere - feeling like a dunce. But trouble-shooting another program glitch, found the answer: it was my computer - not me! So I now have my profile completed, just in time to display my new founder's ABN badge and I wanted to share my excitement at being able to take part in this excellent program. I am progressing with my marketing plan and will certainly put all of this great information to good use and will soon be able to graduate from the "newbie" classification! This is a great opportunity for all of the other newbies to get a superb education quickly, so I imagine the ABN sign-up desk is going to be very busy. Thank you Better Networkers, you done good! joymiles@cyg.net

Re: Finished my Profile for my ABN Badge!
Question,
Can you not use the code in an email? I tried using it in an email, and all that showed was the code. Can someone enlighten me on this, is there something that I'm not doing correctly?

You should be able to use the code in email, as long as both your client and person getting the email can view and handle html emails. What client are you using to compose the message?

Hi Jason,
Thanx for your reply. I'm not a computer whiz, just know the basics. : ) I copied & pasted the code in my email and sent it to another personal email address and when I opened it, it was showing the code and not the banner.

If you're using a Gmail account, you can't copy and paste the code for the badge. If you're using Yahoo or Hotmail, you should be able to use the Image icon to paste the code for the image, and the Globe, Link or World icon to paste the code for the URL.
For instance . . . whatever follows <img scr=" through the closing " goes in the Image field and whatever follows <a href=" through the closing " goes in the URL field.
To create the badge in this forum, I clicked the IMG link while typing this message and got the opening and closing tags, and simply pasted what follows <img scr=" in between those tags, excluding the closing ".

I can easily make the badge clickable, but it's a bit more difficult to explain, but if you really want to know, send me a PM.
By the way, anyone else notice that the code for the badge ends with an extraneous "?

Hey,
I have also noticed the " after the image. Easily fixed, but i have another problem. Whenever I insert the badge code into any of my sites it has a blue border around it, then after it is clicked, it changes to purple, just like clickable text links.
How do I get rid of the border?
Can anyone help??
Cheers!
Nick.

Re: Finished my Profile for my ABN Badge!
Hey, I am jealous of those with an ABN badge. I asked about this a long time ago, and then I saw we could now sign up so I went in and completed everything to get the ball rolling. But when I finished, there was a NASTY, AND DISTURBING, AND VERY FRUSTRATING message at the top of the page that registration was now closed.
I feel cheated! Mike got me all excited about it, I was ready to do it after I saw the video and read the good stuff about it, and then I couldn't do it.
I think this is a dirty trick to do to somebody Mr. Mike, Jason, or whoever. Please, if in the future registration is closed for something, don't tease us like this. Remove the page until registration is open again.
