Yes it's important to get advice about a company, to learn about the products, company background, pay plan etc. however you could privately seek out members on the website, instead of to everyone. I think asking about certain aspects of a company e.g. pay plan would be more effective than just asking people to pitch you (someone will always take it too far).
Here's an example so I can get closer to my thoughts on this:
Mr. X wrote:I live in Japan and have interest in MLM business. I have been in affiliate marketing for several years and have good skills enough to earn full time income.
I studied some MLM companies and opportunities including ones in supplement and drink business. There are many of those in Japan. But I have greater interest in companies handling higher ticket items, that unfortunately are not very common here in Japan.
I'll appreciate it if you advised me about good top tier MLM companies suitable for people in Japan. Thanks!
I read through the entire thread, 9 out of 10 posts had to be edited by moderators simply because of users' ignorance. In case you're wondering, I edited out the guy's real name to Mr. X - he wasn't doing anything wrong, except he could have got more involved in discussions and continued conversations through private mail with a few people if he still was looking for a company.
Another example:
Mr. Y wrote:Hey Guys, Im looking for a new MLM opportunity. I would like you to recommend me the one you think would suit me best. I live in the UK, this is really important because a lot of MLM opportunities are really american, and you have a massive advantage if your american. I want an MLM opportunity that you can be just as succesful from the UK, as you can from America. Secondly, i can only devote around 10-14 hours a week towards this MLM.
Has anyone got any suggestions for good MLM's suited to me?
Thanks guys
Same thing here really, this thread actually got locked because of the inevitable pitch-fest. These topics aren't narrowing down exactly what they're looking for, and I think it's important to understand that before you ask on the forums. Otherwise you will get offers from reps associated with almost every company out there.
Now here's a topic I would post if I was looking for a new company:
Seb Brantigan wrote:Hello everyone, I'm searching for a new MLM opportunity and wanted some advice from the BetterNetworker community. I like the idea of marketing nutritional products, so I looked on the BetterNetworker Companies section to help me out and I've narrowed it down to these 5 companies:
*List of 5 nutritional companies here*
Which of these companies is best for a networker who wants to create a long term monthly residual income? Can anyone recommended any other companies with a direct link to their corporate website (no referral links)?
I would especially like some replies from reps who are or have been in these 5 companies. Thanks in advance.
I believe people should find information on joining MLM companies themselves; if you struggled to like I did before I joined my first company, find some leaders you can ask. There's plenty on BetterNetworker who will be happy to help you.
I think you guys get the idea...this has been a problem in several threads, and we can stop threads turning into 'my company does this and that, so join it' type of discussions.
My main point is that people should narrow down what they want in an MLM company a lot more, to prevent the amateur networkers from sneaking their URL in a topic thinking it's acceptable.
Thanks for reading this far into my structured rant, please discuss and let me know your thoughts on this. Have an awesome day.
