Hmmm thats an interesting post Chris. I like the Cut of your Gyp. So what makes my business unique! Well I suppose what makes it unique is Me as my Business in Me.[/color]

For me its all about Self Promotion and Self Branding so I have set up my own site with my own name! I heard a saying once that says it all..............

"People do not buy Business Opportunitys or Systems, People buy People. If someone does not buy you they will not buy your System or Opportunity no matter what it is! But if someone does buy you then they will buy your System or Opportunity no matter what it is"

For me that makes a lot of sense its all about being social. About Me then Well I didn't want to go down the route of having a basic generic website that thousands of people have these days and have saturated the market, instead have a main Website called PhillipDewsdotCom which I designed and built myself so is completly unique as its the only one of its kind and is aimed at people wanting websites made for themselves and I am also a prolific blogger and have my blog located @ blog.phillipdews.com. and have various other hand build splash pages like MMT, Hubze and PeopleString Problems

For me though my bread and butter comes from sites like this, forums, facebook and twitter as I spend most of my time on those, because in my opinion if I did not use those all my hand made sites would not get any traffic. You could have the best looking site or blog in the world with loads of great content but if your not being social and helping out in some other way then they are as good as dead sites.

Thank you for your posts. Philip, you are correct. There is only one you. The problem with internet marketing is that there are millions of people just like you. They are marketing You Inc. I agree that people must like you and trust you before they will purchase anything from you. That is why social networking is so important.

I wanted to go a different route with this. Notice, I said what is UNIQUE about your company, product or service? This is a people business first. But without quality products, or services or a company that has integrity, it won't matter much if you don't earn any money. You Inc. is not selling your products, company or services.

That being said, I am not going to give the name of my company, but I going to mention a few things that make it unique.

1. Everyone that joins an MLM that is product oriented is brand new and does not have a success story to tell. So when they try to explain their company to their warm market, the #1 thing they are told is, "Come back and tell me how wonderful this company, product or service is when you are making money."
What if you could tell them about a company that is adding 200-500 new customers a day, and that with a little bit of effort on your part, you can be earning a commission off of everyone one of them. Wouldn't that be exciting? You don't even know these people and they are helping you to build your team.

2. There is a lot of competition in the health and nutrition market. What if there were a company that was marketing a nutrition product that truly is all-natural, without any preservatives, artificial colors or sweeteners and that has an ORAC score of 1,800/ounce? Or a weight-loss product that is entirely vegetable-based, that does not contain any harmful ingredients or stimulants and has been certified by the University of Connecticut as safe and effective at helping people to lose weight 80% faster than traditional diet and exercise programs alone? Would that get you excited?

3. Add to that they are also helping to feed hungry children around the world with every bottle of the product that is sold. This company is in the business of changing lives.

J. Paul Getty once said that he would rather have 1% of the efforts of 100 people than 100% of his own efforts. Imagine capitalizing on the efforts of 20,000 people and this company is just getting started and is getting ready to break ground in the International markets.

I am known as the "Action" business coach, so needless to day I am all about taking action. It is becoming somewhat fashionable these days for individuals to call themselves a "coach".

Many people become coaches because they enjoy working with people and helping them reach personal/professional goals. That is certainly a fine advocation, however it takes a rare combination of skills and experience to effectively change lives for the better.

Company and product obviously matter, because they are ultimately the foundation of your business, along with yourself and your list of course.

My network marketing company is the best because it's part of the largest industry in the world -- travel, because it's one of the only things people truly want to do and need to do, because my company has cheaper rates than its competitors (i.e. Expedia, Travelocity), because it has dream trip vacations at the lowest prices that can be found at, because it's easy to find customers, because it's easy to talk about and invite, because the industry is projected to jump from 8-15 trillion in the next 10 years, because most people book online, ......

Instead of offering a fantastic juice or potion that is marked up so money can be passed around and part of a much smaller market, my company is the leader in the largest and most exciting industry on the planet, and has lower prices. Among other things, that's why it's better than any health or wellness company or anything in a tiny niche with so much competition and less excitement.
