The fastest way to build a list is to have a product or CPA of your own where affiliates generate the traffic for you and you pay them for results. There are many many examples of this out there.

Either that, or use another persons list (email marketing, ezines, etc)

The fastest way to generate leads yourself is to use Pay Per Click Marketing. You have the potential to get the most traffic from Google, either from search or the content network, but dont forget Yahoo or MSN as well.

I give PPC a nod over ezine marketing since you will have to do some testing as well to find ezines that work well.

If u want to build fast it's going to cost extra money . Pay per click and adwords. Social sites , blogs are wonderful but it takes time. All your friends are contacts, pretty much a list. Work with it. Send them free stuff, announcements,promotions, videos, etc. Do not send them business opportunity stuff. The key is to get them interested in you. If you work your contacts well on theses social sites, youe list could grow Huge. Some will even subcribe to your newsletters if you have one. Sometimes we have a gold mind in our back door and do not realize. Always be careful with spam.

It depends on the quality that you require. If you need it "urgently" I'd say that you don't attempt to market to that list yourself... Your "urgency" (i.e. desperation) is going to leak out in your offer. Hire a professional to create your offer or do your pitch for you...

Sometimes understanding "why" you want a list is very important. If your just getting people to sit on a list that is unresponsive you might as well just borrow a list and claim it as your own since you can mail them like a list builder.

The primary reason you want a list is to build a relationship. Building it super fast is of course something most people want to but to do so could jeopardize your relationship with that list.

The fastest way to really build it is throw about $3-$5k to ppc and tweak your conversion %. But from the way you worded your post I'm assuming your looking for an inexpensive way.

You want to give people something of value before they're going to want to do business with you! Find some knowledge that you can give away for FREE and post it somewhere. Better yet, use someone else's knowledge and become an affiliate.

Well it totally depends on your budget if you are going to have a tight budget then the list building exercise would take time but will grow in slower space. Social media is one of the way to grow your List on budget.

I AGREE!! Good Point!! My plan with the new MLM I joined is to develop the relationships over the course of 3 or 4 weeks. All the while sending tidbits and 'jems' of valuable information. The value you show will create online credibility which Mike Dillard teaches. There are other steps but you see where I'm going. Through credibility your list becomes that much more valuable.
