We have read & heard that one of the best ways to generate free traffic to your website & to generate backlinks, is to write articles & get them published in ezines, article directories etc.

However, while the actual writing of the article is fairly straight-forward, it is a nightmare getting it submitted to all the right places by hand. So, we hear of article submission sites - where you can subscribe & get your articles submitted automatically!

My question is this - & I ask it of the experienced article marketers here...what is the BEST article submission service to make use of, in consideration of the cost/effectiveness in doing so?

I have taken a look at SubmitYOURArticle & they seem to offer quite a lot to their subscribers, including tons of training. Has anyone used them to submit articles & can we please get some feedback if so?

See the bootcamp in my signature... it goes really deep into a proven system for generating traffic and leads using article marketing. In fact, over the past 20+ articles we've had 100% success in getting them to rank front page on google. It really boils down to doing proper keyword research, picking the right authority site (like ezinearticles) and then getting backlinks to the articles.

I do a lot of Bum Marketing, or Article Marketing. However, I've never used any of the submission sites. I've looked at them but never pulled the trigger to use them. I agree with Rob. I believe that your AM success lies in doing your research, picking the right long tail keywords, submit to say the top sites like, Ezinearticles, Articledashboard, Hubpages, ArticleCity, ArticleAlley, GoArticles, Articlebase, and any others you choose.

I personally use a submission software that I like. It submits to many sites almost on autopilot and then there are others you have to hand submit. But using this strategy, I have numerous top 10 first page google listings. Many times with 2-3 listings in the same top 10. It takes some work but is definately worth it.

I hear what you guys are saying, but do you submit your articles manually, or do you use an article submission software? If you're using a software app is it coupled to a service like SubmitYOURArticle or did you purchase the software as a once-off?

I use a software, a one time purchase, not related to any submission service. It includes an article spinner and submitter. With it you can submit to a large # of article databases by push button. Other sites require a little more, but often it's just choosing a category for the article and solving a capthca. The only one's I submit manually are ezinearticles and hubpages.

Thanks Jagan, I see James Stein has one too, but his is a little more affordable. Seem to be very similar if I have a look at the websites.

Hi Michael,

No they are not the same.

James Stein has an article directory where you can submit articles. Once you submit articles it gets automatically syndicated to a network of sites giving you a huge amount of backlinks (2000+). This ensures you get great rankings in the search engines by just submitting the article. There are other tools too (bookmarking, spinning, etc). The basic premise of using the article directory is to promote your site.

What Dean offers is syndication of your article to various article directories (as of now some are private directories, some are not). They guarantee some staggering results (10,000 indexes in Google at the moment. This means that if you submit an article there will be 10,000 listings of that article in Google).

Actually you needn't focus only on long tail keywords when writing articles (long tail keywords articles in James directory is going to give you some awesome listing - personal experience). You can focus on highly searched competitive keywords and go after them too. All you need is the right strategy which they teach in the forums.

So go to the AP forum, check things out and then decide whether these services will be of any use to you. I have learnt a hell a lot about article marketing from the guys over there (James Stein, Troy Phillips) and I am sure you will not come back disappointed.
