How To Get Accepted To Any Affiliate Network

Postby jason simms on Fri Mar 19, 2010 11:42 am

Hey all. I'm new here so I thought I'd contribute some tricks I've learned in my few years of affiliate marketing. Here's how I get accepted to any affiliate network.

Step 1: You need a website. The easiest, cheapest way I've found to do this is creating a free blog on wordpress. Whichever niche you're after (let's just say the health niche), you need content for that niche. So go to ezinearticles.com and other article directories, copy and paste articles to your blog related to your niche for your content. Then add pictures etc. to make it look good. Ok, now you have your good looking website.

Step 2: Start applying to as many affiliate networks as you can, the more the better. Some are better than others though. I use azoogle.com, mediatrust.com, and w4.com. They're great. You can also use roirocket, rocketprofits, hydra, clickbooth, commisionjunction, etc.

Step 3: You'll get calls from the affiliate managers of these networks asking you questions. Common questions are "Do you use incentivized traffic?" Your answer should be NO!
"What niche are you in?" Tell them your niche
"How do you get traffic?" Say articles, ppc, SEO, Social Media (when approved).
"How long have you been affiliate marketing?" Never tell them you're a newbie. Just say a few months at the least.
"Are you working with any other networks." You can say yes. It shows you have experience so there is less risk for them hiring you. It's risky for them to hire a newbie.

Step 4: You should get accepted! Then start promoting your offers :)

.

You know Jason, I have a problem with your post.
While I'm sure your intentions are good ... you're basically teaching new marketers to lie.

And yeah sure any blackhat or make money forum out there has threads explaining just what you've outlined here, but that doesn't justify it.

Prior to reading posts like these and being exposed to the infamous "get 100% approval" outlines prevalent in the forums, I personally invested thousands of dollars in training and learning my way around affiliate marketing. So when I go to a CPA network, what you've outlined, is actually true for my business.

The problem with the "guidance" you're giving here is that any joe blow newbie marketer can get online, slam a quick website up, fill out the application for a network, then lie through their teeth about their experience and how they do business.

But here's the reality ... every inexperienced newbie or unqualified marketer that games the system and gains entry and acceptance to the networks dilutes the marketplace and the quality of the campaigns.

Instead of a landscape with quality affiliates, now you have every tom, dick and harry out there clouding up the arena, pissing off Google, creating overhyped, spammy campaigns that make it harder for people who've actually earned their stripes to do their jobs.

Take it for what it's it worth, but my suggestion is that you think twice about associating yourself in the marketplace as "the guy that teaches people to lie so they can game the system just to make a buck." Might not be the wisest persona to build your brand around.

That's my $0.02 ... keep the change.

I'm with Richard on this one. I've never seen such blatant dishonesty in this forum. The "advice" offered is not the least beneficial but only cheapens what the rest of the folks here are trying to to.

hey richard,

how is he "basically" telling new marketers to lie? what advice is a lie exactly?

what is an inexperienced or unqualified marketer?

how is he suggesting to game the system?

because he tells people how to setup an acceptable website to get in?

or because he tells people common answers to common questions when applying at a network?

IMO he is telling people what the networks like to see and hear. He is not telling people to lie. Although I see how this info could be used in a manner to lie, like any information...

I suppose there are a bunch of gullible people that would fall for such
an illegal scheme but I wonder if one would make enough money to offset
the legal fees after they get busted.

What makes it illegal. You are taking, conning people out of their money and
not giving anything of falue. I believe it's call a "Promo Pyramid" 100% illegal.

What would keep people from opening 6 paypal accounts in different names
and addresses and replace all the names with their own. (OH, I forgot, integrity)

Any time you are scamming people you don't have "integrity" even though a
few might make a few dollars.

I agree with Richard.

Someone asked how would he be lying?

how is he "basically" telling new marketers to lie? what advice is a lie exactly?

One very plain way is if you are a newbie or this is your first attempt at marketing, and tell the interviewer you have been doing it, Affiliate Marketing, for a few months. That would not be true and since he deliberately told something that wasn't true, and he knew it wasn't true, it would automatically become a lie.

I don't understand why he is able to post unethical content here and it remain available for people to read and respond too. I am a newbie and this is very sad to see. I came to this site by accident and I love it. I have literally been gobbling up all the information I can. This has been a very POSITIVE experience for me. Reading this has been a bummer and it should be taken down! Where are the forum police when you need them?

Are you kidding? I mean honestly ...
I know you like to argue in the forum Justin, but is that even a legitimate question?

Ummm let's see:
fbchamp wrote:Step 3: You'll get calls from the affiliate managers of these networks asking you questions ...
  • "How long have you been affiliate marketing?" Never tell them you're a newbie. Just say a few months at the least.

There's this little thing called a definition -maybe you should catch up on your reading.
But here, I made it easy for you ...

A lie (also called prevarication, falsehood) is a type of deception in the form of an untruthful statement, especially with the intention to deceive others.

To lie is to state something that one knows to be false or that one does not honestly believe to be true with the intention that a person will take it for the truth.

Here's one from an old friend of mine - goes by the name of Merriam Webster ...
lie
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): lied; ly·ing \ˈlī-iŋ\
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English lēogan; akin to Old High German liogan to lie, Old Church Slavic lŭgati
Date: before 12th century
intransitive verb
1 : to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive
2 : to create a false or misleading impression

Shall I Go On?

But hey don't take my word for it ...
I'm willing to bet we could see exactly how the networks view this kind of "advice" just by inviting a few affiliate managers to view this thread.

I have accounts with the referenced networks ... Hydra, Clickbooth and Commision Junction.
We can get others if you'd like - how about NeverBlue, Copeac, Market Leverage, PepperJam, Motive or maybe Link Share?

Let's see what they think. What do you say Justin?
