You have to have a strong marketing strategy that will give you a strong conversion rate. You want to bring a lot of traffic to your website. Most will not buy from you so you have to find the best way to get as many people as possible to see your opportunity.

I agree with Lynda. People are not always looking to buy your product right up front. A funded proposal concept is much easier to swallow for the masses. This allows you to then start presenting other options on the back end.

Why is this posted under personal development and mindset? This question has nothing to do with that. But it has everything to do with Copywriting. Conversion is all about copywriting. All the answers given are dancing around the issue. Yes you should ask for the sale. Yes you need targeted traffic. Yes follow up sequences and sales funnel are important. Yes you should use a funded proposal.
But the core issue is COPYWRITING!!!
If you don't have that skill then go learn it or go pay someone who is good at copywriting to do it for you. But it's better to learn the skill yourself. Copywriting is the most valuable skill you could have as a small business owner. If you want to do network marketing then get good a communication skills. If you want to do network marketing on the internet then you'll still need the communication skills but you better also add the copywriting skills. Those two skills are the most valuable and will pay you the most money in the long run.

A good sales letter works but you also have to collect emails and names of prospects. I have learned over the years that when you build a list, you can presell your product to them from all different angles.
It is very true that the fortune is in the follow up.
Every successful internet marketer will tell you that and it is very true.
Even if you are promoting some product for someone else and they have an opt in form on their website, this is also the way to go. They will send email on your behalf and close sales for you.
Long term, I would do this myself and then send them to the vendor's page.

nalced wrote:The key to sales is effective marketing. You can have the best product in the world, but if you do not give the person a good enough reason to purchase that product (without them being aware you are selling to them)...they won't. People love to buy, but they hate being sold to. Give them enough information about how the product will help them in their lives, and let them make the decision to buy it themselves.
A product sitting on a website is emotionless, your marketing strategy to sell that product to the prospective customer has to be achieved by convincing them that they MUST have it, without them knowing what you have just did. They need to think they have made the decision all on their own, without them even realizing they have just been sold that product through subtle marketing tactics. This is the hardest skill to learn and if you learn how to master this skill, you will never have to sell a product again...they will bite your hand off to get at it.
Attraction marketing is the number 1 skill you must learn if you want to write your own paychecks
Hey,
This is great advice!
You must offer maximum benefit and value to your visitors, better than anyone else in your niche. Focus on offering great free products that can kick start the opportunity with little cost. Sell the emotional benefits to them and as quoted above, apply attraction marketing! Be yourself, by trying to sell to everyone, you sell to no one! People can spot when they're being sold to a mile off!
