I learned many lessons actually, but one that has really stuck with me is this: The more valuable you become to others, the more they will Seek You Out. And the more valuable you become to others, the more of a leader you become.
I always believed that you should work smarter and not harder as well. There were so many great lessons in this book. Please feel free to add your comments and lessons learned from Mike Dillard. Thanks.

That's one that makes you go hmmmmm. B)This is an industry of marketing and promotion pursued by people who have no idea how to market and promote.

Re:A Valuable Lesson I learned from Magnetic Spons
Those are huge lessons to learn!
Here's a valuable one to me: Stop sponsoring "Uncle Bob"
One of the first things that we were told and also told our distributors was to make their 100 names list. Like it says in the book...this is a great way to build your customer base, but not a great way to build a solid foundation for your business.

The biggest thing I learned was that those crappy, old MLM tactics don't work anymore,
and that nobody likes a salesman.
Attraction marketing is an amazing concept and should be embraced by all

It's been very interesting, insightful and humbling to say the least. When you read thru Magnetic Sponsoring and recognize that everything that is mentioned that you dont want to do anymore or that is an old dead tactic is exactly what you were trained on that is not working to any high degree. The Philosophy of educating and making yourself a resource for others resonates so much better than attempting to slam your opportunity and products/services in front of everyone you can at every given chance.

Re:A Valuable Lesson I learned from Magnetic Sponsori
I agree... I have always tried to be of value and service to others and by doing this you find that people come to you.
I cant keep up with the amount of emails and requests I get these days through people asking for help.
Im sure the old network marketing techniques still work but attraction marketing is a great way to attract people to you.
I think the key is to enjoy helping people and dont have a hidden agenda. If they join, they join and if they dont, they dont, I will still help them. Either way, by using Attraction Marketing Techniques you will have an endless supply of leads.

You are spot on Wendy. Mike's book confirms what may have taken a while
to sink in, but eventually it did. The guy who sells you every biz opp
that comes along, is never in the same league as the one who will take
the time and effort to educate you and make you a friend!
He (or she) will get my attention every time.

Re:A Valuable Lesson I learned from Magnetic Spons
I see that I'm coming into this thread a little late, but the topic: A Valuable Lesson Learned from MS is so enticing...so here goes, I learned, and I will quote from the first page of the introduction --
"So here's my confession to you so that you know that I'm nothing special...Just another struggling newbie who busted his ass and never quit."
I'm still new, and I keep it posted above my computer...I know, perhaps not very motivational, but it reminds me to keep busting ass, say for example the time it takes to complete ambitious tasks like creating your first capture page or correctly setting up the customization of a blog or having what you believe is real value to offer a prospect.
Point being...If you follow 'best practices' then the struggle is worth the effort.

Hi kvosseler,
A mentor of mine told me -- Find A NEED and FILL it.
So, from your case, what NEED (sell $$ or Solution to their problem)? And, FILL It (How are you gonna fill it?)
A perfect example would be --
If a girl wanna slim down (that her NEED), she would go to GNC and find slimming pills (FILL IT).
So kvosseler, by using this simple analogy, you can simply rewrite your press releases to suit their NEED and FILL IT.
Hello everyone. I am confused lol. I bought building on a budget and am trying to learn everything. Support tells me to submit 5 press releases every other day. I got 25 clicks but 0 leads. They told me to do press releases only until i get leads then ad another form of advertising on top of that.
I am promoting helping people and not selling but still no results
any ideas would be greatly appreciated????
thanks
Kevin
