Football and MLM?

Postby Patrick Mitsuing on Fri Dec 04, 2009 5:03 pm

Hey bros and gals,

Do you ever wonder why some people can go into an MLM and have massive success in just 4 months while others take years and years and only get a few checks?

Well I have the answer and I just had to get it out.

Man I had keep having this metaphor in my head and I needed to get it out. It's about your recruiting efforts and your leadership.

Let's hypothetically say you are the new owner of a NFL football team and you want to compete and win in this industry. Now in order to win you will ONLY want to recruit players with skill, players with football education, players with experience, and strengths.

You would probably be really picky to the players you want in your team. You wouldn't want a player who has NO idea how to play the game, what position they're suppose to be in, or just have no clue what they are doing. You know if you recruit a player like that on your team they would probably quit, or get hurt, and even blame their problems on you.

And this is the same idea about MLM. Who do you recruit? why would you try and recruit just anybody, when you can have a team full of leaders, marketers, go getters, and winners.

That's why you can't just go chase your friends and family, you need a plan, posture, and show leadership.

That's why a book like Magnetic Sponsoring is so valuable, and mixed a long with Blackbelt you got a formula for success. So if you haven't got these courses yet, Buy them! You'll increase your value to this industry for people needing so much help.

Alright thats my rant for today.

As a football fan, I HAD to reply to this post :) In someways I agree with you. I treat my WNP Business like it was a football team & choose people who are in the same mould & mindset I am, as it makes things easier, plus its more enjoyable building your own successfull team of winners.

So while your opportunity is going to help your friends & family, are they of the same mindset as you?

Its thought provoking for sure, but success comes from it.

Hi,

I don't like personally football, but I really like the comparaison that you use. It really makes sense! Sometime, we think that we can recruit anyone. But, this is not the case. It better if we recruit someone who can play the game. If we recruit someone who don't know how to play the game, it's only take more time to learn the game, that's all!

The best is to recruit someone who can play the game and he or she a lot of desire to succeed. This way it really help you to achieve success.

Hey Patrick,

Great analogy! While I personally don't understand that much about football (am more of a soccer fan), I can see the relationship between owning a football team and a MLM team.

With both you invest a lot of time and money. So yes, you want to make sure that you have key players on your team. Absolutely!

Less is sometimes more. So while you may sponsor less frequently the quality of the "players" will be much more valuable to you in the long run. They may even be moving in circles that you are not familiar with yourself but because they are part of your team they will give you a "shoe in" to connect with people you normally would not.
